What to do without a middle mouse button

Hello,
I play NMS on my laptop. Sometimes i'm casually flying around without a mouse attached, using my touchpad.

Problem: i don't have a middle mouse button so things like discarding inventory can't be done.
There also doesn't appear to be the ability to remap middle mouse button actions to something else.

Any ideas?

No idea of your exact laptop but for many pressing both trackpad buttons together is a middle click.

maybe changings possible under installation dates in .txt´s and with notepad or look after keypad-modification as download for your modfolder. nmsmod.com or so...

you can rebind keys in the settings.

you can rebind keys in the settings.

i had this problem because I am running windows on my macbook pro to play NMS when not at home. The only way i figured out to solve it was buying an external mouse with a middle mouse button to use with my laptop. It means carrying around more stuff, ( and not actually playing on your lap) but it was worth it.

Yeah to remap the keys. I changed it to F1, works great.

lol....I actually did it in NMS for the genade launcher, no wonder my archer wont fire grenades! Thats the issue with playing two games at once.

Remapping the secondary-option multitool Switch just breaks it completely.

my middle mouse button isn't working for switching the terrain manipulator from MINE to CREATE mode.

In fact No keyboard or mouse inputs work at all, to do it. weather i use default or remap the key to anything else.

the only thing that works is the controller b-button. and that stops working when i remap it too!

This is a game breaking bug. please fix!

Press ‘v’ to change terrain manipulator options or drop inventory. Should say the correct key in top right screen, where current option is displayed.
