Standing planter

The standing planter grows carbon, which is nice. Each gives a fair yield of 30 carbon.

Thing is, you can also plant stuff in it and it will grow both carbon and your plant. Looks quite weird.

Interesting discovery there. Did not think to try and plant in it. Cool though~

only downside: when you plant something in them they have the same collison-box like the hydroponics

Edit: Ok depends on what typ of plant you put in... Cucrassula does this

Do they still grow like weeds or did their grow timers get nerfed as well?

That's an old post. It has been changed.

Now if you had done it before the patch the plant will still be there and continue to work. I had some pearls planted in them and they still work like before. Too late on this one for new planting.

About 10 minutes. If I grab them when I walk in I can usually get a second batch on my way out after sorting my spoils.

Fyi this is an old bug that was fixed a long time ago.

there is some trigger to unlock it but I have no idea what. I was not able to buy it from the guy in your base that sells blueprints. but it did randomly show up as I progressed.

I like to do things big. This is off topic, but since I was in my IMGUR account, I thought I would show this off from Kerbil Space program... The Mun Rocked Challenge was to get the most mass to the Mun. I made a functioning ore station that could hold a large colony as well.
