LarmkanalInstall.exe is what? Virus? FaceRig Hack?
Now, Facerig is typically stored in my Steam folder, but after updating it, I coudlnt help but notice the folder called PHOSGENE which is also a DEADLY GAS MADE IN WWII for KILLING PEOPLE.

First thing I though tof was, "How the hell did a Virus Folder get on my PC" and all it contained was "LarmkanalInstall.exe" which to me is rather suspicious more so than just the name, when I never agreed to/placed this file on my PC.

After a very brief search with Black Ice Ive discovered it caomes from FaceRig...

So what is it? Can I delete it?

Neither a virus nor a hack.

Larmkanalinstall and phosgene are modules used by the virtual drivers install infrastructure, which was developed for FaceRig by a third party specialized in writing virtual device drivers called Adoriasoft. (They have created the latest virtual audio drivers and virtual webcam driver). They sign their executables and have a good reputation.

As you remember, before working with a specialist in this area we were using a DirectShow filter based implementation for the virtual webcam which had compatibility issues with several browsers and programs. The new version works quite better across the board (we have yet to find an incompatible app).

As of why are they have chosen name those modules like this, we have no idea, but we can inquire with them if you wish ( our 2 cents: probably just a programmer thinking it sounded cool, without looking into it too much and realizing the implications ).

You can uninstall the virtual webcam and the virtual audio drivers and delete these files, but the FaceRig broadcasting capability will then be disabled (you will still be able to stream if you use OBS with Window capture though).

Yea I almost deleted it too. There should at least be a small ReadMe file saying that it's part of FaceRig

same .

there's literally nothing in it or in its description, properties, etc, that indicates it's part of the audio driver.

I have to go into process hacker to find the driver info.

Steam needs to talk with computer companies so they can have their files showing up as safe and not this random, "You should only install driver software from publishers you trust". But then again they been doing some illegal stuff lately and ignoring those that are trying to find out what is going on. Deleting good games and allowing child rape games to stay and allowing hackers to use their fake games to hack users. A game dev was caught for this and he removed the trojan calling it an update, when he really just downgraded it to an older version of that game. And it was a paid for game. So there for no Steam is not reliable when it comes to getting zero threat games. Besides the fact that they lied about Rocket League.

This really needs to be update or a "Readme" file. However, I get the impression that FaceRig is somewhat abandoned or at least not a lot of development.

This third party developer they mentioned - is FaceRig paying them?

This device driver is 6 years old. It probably needs updating.

Послу удаления facerig эти файлы остались в корне папки program files(x86), кажется это ошибка установщика?

No that happens with everything you uninstall. Most likely just game saves
