Franklin refuses to call me

So it's been about a week since I've completed the VIP contract.
Got the first phone call from Franklin immediately after. The call from Dre took a while, but eventually came through. But now, no matter how long I play or what I do, Franklin won't call me to offer the studio tour. I've been playing missions normally, hanging around the studio, and once I even just stood in freeroam for an hour, doing nothing other than move every couple minutes to not get kicked.
I have no idea how to get these missions to spawn. Need advice.

Go hang out near the studio. When you go near the Gerald missions or the Martin missions you get a msg, I believe it's the same for these mission, it worked for me but you gotta hang out there for a few min, worth a try.

I had the same issue, Franklin didn't call me in days after completing Dr.Dre contract. I repeated the VIP contract a couple days ago since it pays 1.5x and this time he called after around 20 minutes. So, if Franklin doesn't call you anymore, try to do the Dr. Dre contract again.

He calls you in about 1 - 2 hours in real time, so spend time on freemode messing arround

Once there was a time as everyone was annoyed by annoying phone call nonstop,
now it is the opposite.
Isn't it funny how R* is messing with his fans.

I wonder what is so hard to implement a failsafe script, which can be run by the player to force such important events... like a simple option to call franklin and ask for the tour event etc.

he will call you when you're not doing any mission , the F will appear on map . He called me at least 5 times before i decided to do the mission. Every time you change session or restart the game, The F will disappear .

You get no reward for doing this mission. It makes the studio icon appear and it seems to be for a future update for doctor dre. Smoking virtual weed at the studio, is there anything more loser to do

Well, I don't know if I'm late or not with this, however, I had the exact same problem; Franklin, simply, refused to call me after finishing the VIP contract.

Long story short: Franklin called me immediately after I had bought Enus Jubilee and modified it in the Agency's Workshop.

Hope this will trigger the call.

there are 6 awards related to the studio which grant 600k
so you missing easy300k if you ignore it.

there is also the producer awards, don't know if it gets some livery in the future related to it, so far is only the usual 800rp

3 methods you could try 2 can be done solo, one requires friend who has already access to the studio

requires Player to own a Bunker. So if some one wants to test it out, here is the method:

1.Public session.
2.Register as CEO or MC (not mandatory)
3.Call your personal vehicle (PV).
4.Enter your Bunker with PV.
5.Hopefully recive the call.


If you having trouble with Franklin call for the Record A Studios tour bug (Short Trip missions) try this:

1.Inv only or public session.(Done mine in Inv Only)
2.Go inside CarMeet with a personal vehicle (mine was 8F Drafter).
3.Get in your personal vehicle inside CarMeet.
4.Press L Ctrl to access personal vehicle CarMeet menu.
5.Choose Mod Vehicle (G) option.
6.Wait till your personal vehicle get to Tuning bay.
7.Set the timer for 15-16 mins and sit inside the LSCM tuning menu.
8.After time passed, exit LSCM shop and CarMeet with your personal vehicle.
9.Drive for 1-2 min.
10. Hopefully youll get the call.

Problem: Player has no access to Record-A-Studios after talking to Franklin about being invited THEN LEAVING THE SESSION WITHOUT GOING

Fix: 1) Register as CEO/MC and hire a friend with RAS access.
2) Both walk in front of RAS and your friend walks inside by choosing to bring nearby friends.
3) Go to the couch and smoke the Special Strand. Your character will be asleep and immobile.
4) Bring up your phone and accept the Lester Heist invite and back out.
5) Once in your apartment you should get the call from Franklin again and see the yellow "F" on the map. DO NOT LEAVE WITH OUT GOING TO THE YELLOW "F" AND PLAYING THE FIRST MISSION

Franklin didn't call me for ages either, but I was able to go to Play Jobs > Rockstar Created > Missions > Short Trip ... you can easily start them from there, start with Seed Capital, then Fire it Up, then OG Kush. Studio will be accessible afterwards.
