how do i equip a rebreather? i checked my inventory, and everytihng but i dont see the rebreathers

Glitch. Only way to do it is when your buying one there is an option to save to outfit.

thats idiotic, why give the option to buy a rebreather but not use it?

Idiotic answer indeed.

Go to the context menu, open the 'style' section, first option allows you to apply gear such as the rebreather, earpeace, etc.

Note that in some missions (like Cayo Perico) you can also equip it with a push on the d-pad (I don't know the keyboard equivalent, but it should be shown on screen).

You will find it in the style > accessories tab, not the inventory. Equip it and you're good to go.

i have 20 rebreathers yet they're not in there, why is that?

Press G if you play on PC. Only appears when you press the button while diving and Rebreather stock still available in your inventory.

If you did not buy rebreather manually from ammunation back in the day, you can't equip them via interaction menu. And since now R* is automatically giving everyone 20 rebreathers with Cayo and such and they can't be actually ditched/used (they just get refilled), you can no longer buy them. As guy above said, it's kind of a a bug.

Use one of them (press G under water to equip it) during VIP/CEO challenge "Salvage" or hangar mission "Salvage Site" and visit an ammunation ___before___ finish challenge or mission. Now you can buy rebreather and equip it via interaction menu. Ammunations works in freeroam missions.

I just thought they were automatic, I never had to do anything with them, they just worked. It's good to know that I could turn them off if I want to, though I would have to remember to turn them back on if I ever do that role in the heist.
