Does Clubhouse Location Matter?
Or is it just where the businesses themselves are located? I hear Sandy Shores/Grapeseed area is generally best for those.

Doesnt matter where you put the club. the missions are scripted to be distant regardless of location.

The clubhouses however are different depending on which one you pick

No, the MC related businesses are additional buildings scattered around LS: it's their position that matter. The clubhouse location does not matter instead.

The clubhouse location doesn't change anything in the game, but I'd strongly recommend to get one in the city (so: one which is easy to reach), assuming you plan on actually using MC businesses.

See: if you're grinding (special cargo for example) then LJT won't always give you a call, so the best way to check up on your business stocks and supplies is.... the clubhouse. I used to have mine on Route 68 (it was free with the Criminal Enterprise Starters pack) and I hardly used it (only to find my businesses; they're located "around" it). Now that we got double money on sales I want to keep taps on supply level and it's a waste of time having to fly out into the desert. Now I have a clubhouse that's relatively close to one of my warehouses, so right after I dropped some crates I can easily check the MC stocks.

This already earned me extra cash because I discovered that coke ran out faster than my other businesses.

As for the MC businesses themselves: I strongly suggest you leave 'm out in the desert. Not only is that cheaper on you, the delivery missions will be easier as well. The more paying missions are always in the 'other' location. For businesses in the desert it's the city, for businesses in the city it's the desert. The difference is that the city has more roads which makes it easier to divert from a route if you have to. Not so much for the desert....

I would however suggest to place your clubhouse at an equal distance to all your business properties.

Only in your clubhouse computer you get an overview of all supplies and stock levels, which makes it easier to see where to go to resupply.

In general, I'd suggest get all MC stuff in the central desert area, as there are fewer interfering players than in the city.

Sandy/Grapeseed is the best MC Business location since the sales distances are the shortest (downtown and Paleto have deliveries on the other side of the map).

But for MC clubhouse, the location matters ONLY if:
1) You want to check supply situations of all businesses in one place/computer.
2) You do tons of MC contracts (started from MC clubhouse conference room wall).

So in practise it doesn't mean a thing. Gotta say tho, I have my clubhouse in Route 68, and while I'm happy with it, I'm a bit jealous over the one in Vespucci. Has two floors and better floorplan.

Man, I wish we could restock from the clubhouse. Give it some kind of actual use. After playing with it and the businesses, the clubhouse itself seems pretty worthless except as a prerequisite to buy the businesses.

You need it for the biker work missions, and to play darts and arm wrestling.
Also, the couch and TV are useful for AFK idling.
