its not 1st april anymore, so - nice then
Multiplayer management also wasn't too straightforward when people are playing through Galaxy and Steam.
I am still interested in a GOG version. I would buy the game again on GOG. I`d be fine with a GOG version, that is a little outdated.
Best regards

In short, they declined the game as it was not a good fit for GOG, mainly too niche as top-down shooter. The reply was in November 2018.
We certainly didn't expect such a reply...
We got a lot of requests from the community in the past, so we are aware that there is some interest on the topic, but it is how it is.
All the best to you guys!

And what's this about RWR being too niche? They have loads of niche titles like The Silver Case, Exapunks and heck, they have Hearts of Iron 3, which is another WW2 game, but how is HOI with its ridiculous complexity less niche than RWR?? I don't get GOG sometimes.
Okay, rant over. RWR devs, all the best to you, you're doing great.
There were certainly more niche products in their store.
gog means "good old games", like reviving older non-compatible products and when you see nowadays that they sell even AAA productions like Cyberpunk, they can hardly be trusted in their initial philosophy.
We didn't bother begging for a slot in their store either. For us, the case is closed.
Tangent - another bone to pick with GOG is their flagging enthusiasm for Linux support :/ Plenty of games on there as Windows-only, despite multi-platform elsewhere.
Other tangent - re Jack's comment about 'initial philosohy' .. Humble Bundle was originally supposed to be DRM-free, cross-platform, indie. That lasted what, a year? :(
O.k. I`ll close the case as well, as I donot buy from steam anymore...
All the best to you!

DO AS I COMMAND!
it only requires the Steam client for multiplayer to join an official server for user management. IF brought to GoG, it would also require the Galaxy client to join official servers, hence not being much different in that aspect.
