CH 9 - Keep Getting Killed By Ruvik
What am I supposed to do here? I'm starting out in the mansion, but Ruvik just keeps popping up out of nowhere and touching me on the shoulder, and that's it.

Alternatively just run in circle in 1 room.
It's just a timed event and he will disappear eventually.

How many times does he come back?
gotta say that I hate this stage as well,
when you run too far away, Ruvik could teleport next to you and instant kill you. so the point is that you must kite him around, but dont run too far away from him.
I tried hiding, but killed anyway (probably he saw me hiding).
also, if you stopped moving, he could teleport beside you as well.

to answer your question, he will randomly spawn ONCE per area. lets assume he did appear and you manage to escape from him, then when the scene is over, he WONT appear again on that area. so make sure you save often.

as for me, I always dieded when he appears,
so what I do is rushing to brain puzzle fast (will autosave), and then run back to the machine gate (small cutscene) and then into the mirror room. if he appears, I dieded, and reload....

You'll only have to deal until you clear this area, He doesn't seem to follow into the what I call "activity areas" of this level.

My saint holy lord, your highness must run in circles, or ask for the father sky give you the power to purge all the evil for the this game, so ruvik will take 1 hit kill and game will finish before chapter 15.

May God show you the light.

A good place for this to happen is down the left side in the big alley. Also keep going back to the save room to save once youve done one part bcus yeh he can spawn n ♥♥♥♥ up your day. hiding works also but you gotta b quick to hide. listen out for his warp sound, cus hell warp infront of you if youre running and that is a killer

I'm playing on the PS3, so that's why you won't see this title in my account.

I hated this part too, but I found that using the staircases in the Main Hall was the best way to put some distance between you & Ruvik. Just always make sure you're keeping an eye where you're going because he does have a tendancy to pop up in front of you if you get too far away.

Good Luck!

This is one of the best, probably second best, levels for me. The enemy layout in the level is randomised and they can respawn, with traps too, if you return to an area you've been to. Ruvik forcing you out of tight rooms or to the save point to save synergizes well with those systems, even if you die I believe you can still find the level changed from before. It's one of the only levels to include features like that and I think Ruvik's appeareances are a big part of why they are only heavily present in that level.

I keep my eyes on him, I jog ahead a bit and any time he runs I run. That's pretty reliable for me. Rarely he'll spawn as you open a door then kill you without you having much chance, that sucks.

He's on a timer from what I've noticed, something like 10 minutes between appearances, if you move quick you'll only see him once or twice in the level. I've heard his spawns are limited as well. If he is on a timer then that might mean save points are a bad idea.

I don't think there's much in the game that is able to match trying to deal with two haunted ambushing you when suddenly the screen turns blue and you have to figure out where Ruvik's coming from before your head explodes.
