Constantly opening the satchel

Why is Indy stopping every few feet and opening the satchel at the beginning of the game? It's getting ridiculous and I don't get any prompts to pick anything up or take anything out. Every few feet!!

remove the controller (prolly d-pad messed up, could be also just the controller being messed up, I've had issue where d-pad that certain inputs stop working or do a double input instead and etc. and was basically just the cabling inside on the controller board being messed up, twisting the controller would alter it, also can be the usb connection issue, cable not sitting right inside in the controller)
or
rebind the keybind (stuck keybind aka get a new keyboard or fix the one you have)

I’m having the exact same issue. On top of that it’s randomly just taking out my gun and then I noticed that switching between on screen, controller prompts, and keyboard prompts. I use this controller every day with no problems with every other game.

Same issue, playing on Game Pass PC. Never had an issue with the controller before

Okay so, I tried a Dualsense and that works except triangle doesn't work, I've then put the Xbox controller back in and....it could be better? Not sure but it seems better

Check your movement keys. Seems the developers defaulted an alternate key opening the satchel to one of the movement arrow keys.

yeah, deleting all the alt keyboard bindings fixed it. I was also blocking instead of using my whip and a few others

Steam Options, Controller, Desktop-Layout, disable Steam-Input.

It was infact the keyboard bindings, what idiots, such a basic thing to get right and so annoying for me and everyone

It is the duplicate key bindings, redo all the key and gamepad settings to your liking then play without issues......

I just deleted all the key bindings and it works perfectly now.

It’s because you guys have steam open. You cannot have steam open and play a game pass game without the overlay messing up the control. Just close steam and it’ll work.

It’s steam. You probably have Steam open in the background and then playing a game pass game. When you play games outside of steam, you have to close Steam or the controllers will get messed up.
