not actually, it's even better that they stick to what they're good at. Machine games was mostly doing 1st person games I believe, at least Wolfenstein were 1st person and good.
May be publisher could choose different studio, but I like 1st person as much as 3rd person, so at least for me it's not really matter
machine games also made chronicles of riddick which is was first person and i felt like riddick all the way through.
No, it wasn't Machine Games that was behind Escape from Butcher Bay, it was developed by Starbreeze Studios which is entirely another studio.
