honestly Pass. I thought the tales games were the couch co-op games but i guess i was miss informed.

yea but i couldn't get it to work. but thats kinda my point, thats why i have respect for Y's they do patch in co-op in a game that is 100% not intented for co-op, more it's camra plays nice considering the game was not intended for co-op.

oh i'm so mad Ys games on PS4 don't have co-op lol especially 10 PC LAUNCHED WITH IT, PS4 doesn't have it.

Coop isn't really good in a JRPG anyway. Ok you can control a character during battle but the exploration is solo

True, but if you're doing the we are just spending time or say the classic, let your little brother play letting them just do the combat let's them play. Or opposite, you make the new gamer play as the one that does all the exploration stuff and you just make positive they don't die.

Plus, minimum co-op is still better then none. Kinda like i like to say today. Yea sucks what is the cultural games but better then say Snes or Sega when nearly nothing besides beaten up games were co-op.

i think Tales of Berseria™ had the better camra but yea that's kinda the idea. When there is multiple people wanting to play any form of couch co-op should be praised. Dont get me wrong co-op is nice with people living across the world but there is a charm to shoulder punching the guy next to you for stealing that gear drop he know's your after yet he wont give up.

literally didn't continue playing arise because it messed my mood up.
to note the tales games with co-op that i know of: ps1 Eternia (or destiny, stupid naming changes outside japan),ps1 phantasia, Abyss, Vesperia, symphonia 1 and 2, graces, xilla 1 and 2, zestiria, berseria, i've gone through entirety of those games with least 2 player co-op, all those should support 4.
to be clear none of the games call it co-op straight up, you have to change the other party members to NOT AUTO, and then you can use gamepads to control each character. it's not a thing like "start co-op" or "press start" you have to change to manual on the party menu usually under artes.
if you don't turn off AUTO, you have no control, most of them you can do this during a fight in menu change to semi-auto or manual, newer ones have a button to toggle modes.

Arise was only about half done when the pandemic hit and they rushed it out so honestly I am pretty sure they are at fault but at the same time can you blame them I mean they probably needed to make money with pandemic for hoe bad it got and were probably worried that it might get worse than it did.

Has no support for gamepads on Steam either :-\ That's got me fuming mad. Valve won't refund you when you have to buy it from Microsoft Store to use your controller, even though it's 100% Valve's fault.

again part of the annoying and neet thing because i thought Arise was honestly pretty good but still stung.

I know this for a fact because I patched the game to use XInput instead of Steam Input and that's the only way to get any input in the Steam version of the game. On Microsoft Store, the game just works. It sucks, the Steam version is gimped and we can't get a refund.

YEA that kinda sucks, i mean it's nice steam offer some work around for some issues, still sucks the issues exist in the first place..
