Horse stable?

Does anyone know exact way to trigger horse stable? I followed the guide and located it few blocks away from another (military) building (in a horizontal 1 by 2 direction). But nothing happens after few rounds of block placement. I have also placed blocks between the two but nothing happens still.

Stables get military at the start of the combat round. This is because it looks for the closest buildings and during the course of placing blocks, you can end up putting a building closer.

You should always place the stable vertically as that way it can draw troops from two lines rather than one. The best placement is having it at the left or right boundary of the grid and another building at the opposite boundary. If there isn’t another building to line up with then it won’t gather any troops at all. Likewise, if there is another building right next to it then it also won’t trigger (or if it does it will trigger with minimal troops)

Yeah it’s often one of my go to buildings at least for the first half of the run. Some factions tend to get a bit too cluttered with their buildings though which can make it hard to place it effectively.
