Testing Guppy's Fire Mod

I have been following this for a bit. It's out.

I did not prepare for this test. For fun, I simply dropped this mod right on top of my massive mod stack, already at 1.5 GB.

I was expecting a huge performance hit. I got almost none.

Absolutely beautiful work.

So far I've only done rural structures. I am headed back in to find a city to burn down, see if I can crash the game

Thanks for the demo, @NoMan. Does it kill zombies? I couldn't tell from this footage. And do gasoline, oil or ammo containers explode?

Turns out cities are really hard to burn; with so few wooden structures they lack for fuel.

So, on to the suburbs to target wooden houses.

This clip is too long to watch, but the last minute or so has me spamming fire tornadoes:

Considering how I was abusing the system, I think the performance is impressive. This extreme scenario is unlikely to occur during normal gameplay.

I am right on the edge of a large town, on a heavily modded game, with total spawns and wanderers turned to eleven, run through the ModLauncher which is then run through Steam, while recording from the GPU, on default High preset, with rain and snow added by command....

Yes the FPS hit is significant, but the game handled it.

Great mod.

Now I am trying to spread fire in a wider radius. I had to break out the trusty dynamite launcher

It ignites the vanilla zombies, but it looks like some of my modded ones aren't yet hooked up for fire damage.

Metal is not flammable but barrels will explode if they collapse. I am not sure if they are taking damage from adjacent fires, good question. I don't think so.

I did see some barrels explode from direct lightning strikes, but only during God Mode spamming, not with one hit.

Gonna play with it some more tonight. I am still amazed how well it runs.
