Any news about the Storm's Brewing update?

There's a month left until Q4 of 2024, 1.1 is in EXP, and I wonder if there's any mention about the Storm's Brewing update? Any sneak peaks of anything? I'm just really excited about a new weather system and wardrobe system

There was no update since they showed off the other game they are making, blood moon. Are we gonna get any updates this month? Or is it all coming later next year? Blood moon looks pretty interesting but theres still alot id like to see done to this game itself as that other title seems very arcadey.

The answer is, as always, "nobody knows".

Well, maybe some of the devs know but they're not telling. Or maybe they don't know. Maybe there are issues with the update and they don't know how long it'll take to fix them.

The devs hoped to get an allegedly major update out before the end of this year. Maybe they will. Maybe they won't. Maybe it'll be a major update. Maybe it won't.

With 7DTD it's best to not expect anything. Things happen when they happen and are what they are. After all, it's still in alpha.

* An Update is Never Late, Nor is it Early. It Gets Here Precisely When it's Meant to.

Wait 'til 2024Q4 has expired (ie. next year) before getting all Sweaty about Late Updates...

TFP releases Road Maps (with aspirational goals). They do not pre-announce Updates.

Blood Moon (although licensed from TFP) is being developed by another Game Studio.
It is not taking any resources (after the initial consulting stage) away from 7DTD.

When they feel like it. They are beholden to no schedule, deadlines, or design philosophy. If you want more content, just revert to a previous version and install some mods. Those get updated every few weeks, plus they actually care about your thoughts and questions.

The 'real' answer has already been discussed here. Just keep in mind, based on past history, we can usually expect TFP to be running a little behind on dropping an update. Sometimes we are pleasantly surprised though.

V2.0 will be the "Winter Update" releasing the "Storm's Brewing" patch. Then I'm sure any hotfixes/patches for it will be 2.1, 2.2 ect.

Then when "A New Threat" drops, that will likely be 3.0

You forgot the new Vulture Model...

The Story Build-out is already scheduled for the 2025Q4 Release.

Right now, they likely have their hands full dealing with cross-play and the Console Stores.
It's very time consuming to jump through all the Console Store Hoops 'n Rules for updates.
