Wait. Wrecked cars give you gas?
That makes it easy. There's a million of them scattered around.
Thanks for the tip.
You could loot the entire place twice?
That's weird.
What do you mean ''before starting the mission''. Do you mean before talking to the trader?
Before activating the mission at the yellow marker, you can harvest any and all things, when you use the marker to activate the quest, everything will reset. So you can do two rounds of harvesting if you have time/space/etc.
Bloody hell. I learn new things every day. That's awesome!
It does sound like an exploit.
But since I've turned off horde nights, and zombies always walk, and I'm on lowest difficulty I wasn't really looking for the most legit hardcore experience anyway lol.
Oh, the cars are lovely... until two weeks later, when you’ve harvested every one around. They don’t respawn, you see
My rule is to not destroy a car that gives repeatable loot so I can keep getting the loot over and over. Unless I need an engine or battery for something.
Haha, well thanks for the heads up.
Since I cover a lot of ground with my motorcycle (as long as I have fuel lol) I suspect I'll find a gas station sooner or later.
Or I could try to find some of that oil shale you mentioned. But I haven't really gotten into the mining aspect of this game yet.
Anyway I'll start with scraping the cars. Thanks again.
No problem. Another tip is to use the shift key sparingly - it’s less fuel efficient.
If you decide to double loot here is another tip. If you put down a chest to hold loot from your first run through, don't put it too close to the POI. When you click the marker it will destroy the chest as it resets everything. If you activate and then put down a chest it's fine.
I've scrapped every car I could get my hands on and I now have enough fuel to last me a lifetime.
Time to start exploring the distant lands!
I wanna live on top of that skyscraper I see in the screenshots. But I have to find it first.
Thanks again for all the tips.
