But it dragged down performance so badly and they never were able to fix that problem. So in the end they decided to take out all the different zombie types and concentrate on only like a dozen different ones but so the game was able to sustain higher numbers at once.
Add to that the upcoming NPC bandits that will also strain the performance i dont think we will see many more new zombie types till the game hits BETA.
But hey, you never know, maybe they surprise us with some new abominations.
Is it fact based on what they said or assumption?
I miss the football zombies and cheerleaders, and even the zombie University t-shirt. There is a college jacket, so why is the shirt gone...Most of the things they do don't actually make sense it seems.
Cowboys outside of the old west desert towns, the footballers and cheerleaders outside of the school campuses. The candy striper nurses replaced by generic scrub wearing EMT zombies. Even the "stripper zed" was swapped in for the mini dress wearing "party girl". It was to make their appearance anywhere in the world more logical and sensical.
maybe those guys are still in the options for poi editing. Oh well...
Yes, I must admit that argument has merit. Especially when they've doubled down on the 'Old West' environment art with covered wagons, nooses, wood carved bears and whatnot. It seems like a legacy environment at this point - not worth cutting but not worth fleshing out more either.
