Where's white dyes at?

Game's been out a good deal of time and I've tried as much as I can in all my hours and I had an errant thought; why can't I do my doings dressed in all white?
Please is it a possibility of development or moddability to add white dyes?

The ways color mods are implemented, they can’t make an item lighter than it already is. So a white dye wouldn’t change the item.

Clothing/armor is slated for an overhaul in A21, so maybe this could be addressed then.

you raise a good point, the way dyes seem to operate as far as I can tell more as an overlay than actively changing the color of an item
still I would appreciate being able to truly dye things white, especially military armor when spending the majority of my time in snowy regions.
