7dtd Alpha 18 release date

Im know it will be Oct. 6 or 7, as per latest info. But exactly how am I to know when it "actually releases"? I don`t frequent the social medias, and very few game discussions. Really dumg in all things computer. I can point ans hoot really good tho;-)

Since it will still be an experimental release, you have to manually "opt-in", and maybe do some housecleaning if you ever had an older version installed.

I don`t do social media, FB or tweeter stuff;) I do expect the public experimental Monday, just don`t know where to actually "see" the announcement, `hey it`s here` ad.

Thanks alpha. I can do the properties thing and select the beta version. Going to files, and that kinda stuff loses me. Hey, I`m 70, never touched a computer til barely a decade ago. Don`t know how they work. If it breaks I buy a new one (or call geeksquad) ;-( Roland does do a good job explaining how. I really appreciate real gamers who have the patience and fortitude to help those who are less capable. Never get too old to play games, else all is lost.

When you look at 7 Days to Die in your Steam library (the same page that has the Play button to start playing the game), you can scroll down to see the "Recent News" section in blue. That will stay updated with the latest announcements, and A18's release will definitely be announced there.

I may be the only one who thinks this but I find it to be wrong that streamers who are given the game free gets in before the paying players. I get they are like a free addvertisment but still, people have jobs and some only get to play on the weekends. They should have let the streamers in on Tue-Thurs. and the public in on Fri. To me they have poor planning.

You didn't pay for the game.
You gave them money to develop it, as a bonus you get to play/test the work in progress...and help with feedback/bugreports.

they wouldnt release on a fridya anyway. Theres no one to work on large bugs then. Remember this is a small team not a huge AAA game team who can afford overtime on weekends to do releases

It’s worth pointing out that big AAA studios don’t put out big releases on Fridays, either.

It’s worth pointing out that big AAA studios don’t put out big releases on Fridays, either.

I used to work for a software company in the medical industry and we also never released updates or patches with software. Made no sense as we didn't want to release bugs over the weekend.
