Is there a half gable wood frame?
There is a inverted half gable and a quarter gable, but I can't seem to find a half gable.

Are you using the creative menu with dev blocks on? That’s the way to insure you’re looking at all blocks available. There are a few blocks that are only available in certain materials, so for best results don’t limit yourself to wood, either.
I'm in survival, using the wood frame block. Once I get the resources I'll check the other materials. Thanks for the response!

It looks like it isn't available the other materials in survival, which is fine. I'll have to make do with what I got.

No problem. Unfortunately, some block shapes may just not be available at all in survival mode. The good news is, things could improve in A20, when a “shape menu and building update” is planned.

I'd like to resurrect this thread to say that there still isn't a half gable (now in A20), and I'm really not happy to find that out halfway through my build...

It looks like it's there to me.

I've circled parts of your picture to show what I mean: https://ibb.co/1MNDjcz

Just as red fits onto blue, yellow fits onto green. The problem is that there is no piece like yellow that has a flat face on both ends, like red has a flat face on both ends.

Does that make sense?

The "Gable 1/2" you refer to doesn't fit onto green, since the point of the gable would need to be at the top-center of the face instead of at the center-center.

Okay, looks like you're right. I was hopeful it'd be under some less obvious name like wedge60. But the closest shape I see is gable 3/4. That gets the bottom half right, but the top doesn't come up high enough to fit onto the green one.

Depending on your design, you could perhaps offset your roof a half block up or down in order to have the right shapes.

Yeah, thanks. I did end up redesigning the parts of my build that used gables (in fact, it wasn't even the roof) to accomodate the 3/4 60 degree ones that do have all their parts available.

It's just unfortunate that the green piece is basically rendered useless by this missing block. I feel like it must have just been an accidental oversight that there isn't a regular ridge piece to fit it. I wonder where I could report it missing so that maybe it could be added in a future alpha?
