For everyone who ask what you ask there is one who would encumber that they released too buggy and early.
Once they've addressed the bug list and are satisfied, they will release it next to the Stream Team (TFP has opened the door for applications to be part of the Stream Team. Go there and apply). And if the Stream Team doesn't find any major game breakers then it will be released as an experimental version for impatient gamers such as yourself to complain about.
I would check the official 7D2D site for a better idea on that timeline.
There would be a huge outrage if it was released in the current stage for sure. They still need to get rid of bugs, that alone would get a lot of people mad. And i have seen enough people raging that they can´t keep their saves from one alpha version to the next alpha (like from A18 to A19) can´t even imagine how big the rage storm would be if they need to restart within the same alpha.
Also it supposed to release this month. Mind you, only supposed to. That does mean there is a chance it will not release this month.
On the official forum it sounds like they've knocked the number of bad bugs down a decent amount, but the remaining ones are pretty difficult to find the exact cause, and there's always the chance of more bugs being made or discovered. That last part is why it's so hard to give a solid release date.
(sarcasm)
Maybe if you had bothered to get to six minutes and beyond, you might have noticed the first point here, about them actually keeping players informed of things about the game.
