Nerfed Trader Buy Prices - WHY?
Both stack sizes and buy prices were nerfed like crazy in A18. I'm especially disappointed by the fact that cars and motorbikes can't be sold to the trader. It takes many rare parts and time to build a spare car/motorbike, so why shouldn't I be able to sell that product to a trader?

I understand that the devs want to prevent OP token exploits, but the trading system feels pretty flatlined now. It was a lazy move to make so many items have a "no sell price". Pricing is also wildly inconsistent: why does a stack of pumpkin bread sell for ~$250 while 10 steak and potatoes are only "worth" ~$40?

100+hrs in A18 and I've found no good crafting items to yield consistent income. Anybody found something that makes for good profit? I'm officially at a loss.

Junk turret ammo. He buys 3 stacks max. Also repair kits sell for good coin, but are also quite expensive on duct tape.
Stacks of stone and cement.

Needless to say, spending points on better barter, awesome sauce, or the magnum perk will make for better deals.

when i'm out scavenging i would save all my tier 4-6 loot that i found
load them up with junk mods to increase the price
and bulk sell it all with awesome sauce
now i have more dukes than I know what to do with
maybe melt it down for easy bronze or hope solar cells appear for trade

Have you tried looting, and selling the items you find?

Duct tape is reasonable cheap to make. If you get the perk that lets you make cloth from plant fibres then the only thing you need to find are sand, bones and water to make the glue. All of these things are fairly easy to find or harvest.

Also making a forge isn't as insanely difficult as it was in some of the past alphas.

Part of the issue is that it shouldn't really be possible to just craft and manufacture money.

As for the pumpkin bread vs steak and potatoes, pumpkin bread is far rarer, takes more resources that aren't as easy to get a ton of, and so on.

Wait, you mean leaving the base?! Blasphemy!!!
Make and sell drawbridges, almost 7k for 1.
I dunno... Every A18 game I've played, I end up with more dukes than I can spend. And I spend a lot, buying all available iron, steel, shells, and 7.62 I can find. Most of my cash comes from selling Q4-6 gear.

I agree though that prices on some items seem a bit screwy.
