How to install mods for 7 days to die

How do I install mods for this game tried making a file called "mods" and put some in there but nothing happened.

Download and install 7D2D mod launcher or Nexus. Mod launcher would be my first choice. I don't know if any mods work with 7D2D 19, I haven't tried any yet.

Mods folder has to be in the 7 days to die main directory. Make sure to extract the files you downloaded! And make sure to put the folder with the mod files into mods. Some mods extract not directly to the actual mod folder. Only the one with the modinfo.xml in it works in mods. If that' one's a subfolder, copy it out and put it into mods.
For bigger mods like the overhauls it's best to use the mod launcher though, as Boresight said.

Yeah I did that I extracted them to the mods file I created still nothing.

That’s twice you’ve called it a mods file instead of a mods folder. I don’t mean to be pedantic; I just want to check it’s actually a folder you made.

If it is, tell us which mods in particular you’re trying to get working. There could be a bug or incompatibility.

Yes It's a folder I made and put it under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die. The two mods I have are Crowbar and Vanilla Firearms Extended both downloaded from https://7daystodiemods.com/ and I tried following the instructions on how to get them to work on there, this should link to it https://7daystodiemods.com/how-to-install-7-days-to-die-mods/

if you're playing on the experimental A19_b169 the firearms mod is currently incompatable until the mod owner updates it..As for the crowbar mod it is reported to work with the current alpha branch from what i've seen in the comments section
