Well that's bad... But another question if you don't mind, do blocks and trees respawn?
No, I am talking about vanilla, no mods at all, maybe ship was the bad word and I should have used "boat" instead, though I think the ship is not that bad of a word for it.
Despite appearances, nothing can actually float on water. So as soon as the game starts calculating structural integrity on one of those ships, it'll discover that nothing's supporting it, and it will collapse block by block.
The only way the ship could be restored is if there's a quest for that point of interest. When you activate a quest marker, the associated POI resets.
