Issues on MAC
So far it is not working on my MAC. The Fun Pimps logo comes up, screen goes black and then it quits. Next thing is the MAC asking if I want to report an issue. I went back to 19.6 version and made sure to delete all my saved games. Now I am downloading the Alpha 20 again. Hopefully it will work. Wish me luck!

A20 M1 Max Crash on launch
Upgrade or fresh install. Never had a chance. Hat tip for making 7DTD a Universal app. Noticed the launcher is still Intel only, so translated.

Have full stacktrace avail if there's a more relevant place to report issues.

Well, I tried a bunch of stuff with no luck. Start up screen keeps shutting down on me. Guess it's back to 19.6 and wait for the official release instead of the experimental. Bummer.
This sounds similar to my issue on an ARM64 (Apple Silicon) Mac -- Are you on an Intel Mac? Do you have an error log (stacktrace) it generated? Curious if it fails for the same reason on both Apple architectures.

FWIW, I don't even get The Fun Pimps logo on M1 Max MBP -- just black screen and eventually terminates.
Doesn't work on Mac anymore...
Deleted all my old games... Uninstalled all the folders from HD, Uninstalled from Steam... so I lost all my previous games. After waiting months, watching all the streams, my son and I were all set to play. Installed the new Alpha 20... crashes before it even starts. Tried starting in Terminal... that doesn't work either. And the crash triggers some Dev Tools install prompt, which is an Apple debugging tool. But that isn't something that is actually needed. Would have been nice to be told that this no longer works for Mac, or at least won't for a while. Maybe I would have been able to keep all my game folders. (I didn't back them up, because I didn't want anything to interfere with the install, according to all the warnings...)

No you would not have been able to keep your folders. Well not without problems anyway. Other than that I can't help you brother as I know nothing about Mac. Maybe turn off easy anti-cheat???
Does Mac support Vulkan api or only in openGl? Just wondering.. Could try that..
A20 Unplayable On MacBook vs A19
I was able to run A19 quite smoothly on low settings, but A20 is a jittery mess with everything completely turned off or on the lowest settings possible. Not sure if there is anything else I can do to make it playable? May need to stick to A19 until I can afford to upgrade, unfortunately.
I just helped my friend with her M1 Mac which had the same issue. What worked for her was to right click the game on steam > local files > browse. Right click on the launcher > get info > launch with Rosetta. I don't know what Rosetta is or what it does, but it worked lol.
Same here Mac Mini M1 don't get The Fun Pimps logo just black screen and crashes

Just chiming in to say this works!
My friend had the same issue and rosetta launch got it running perfectly. :praisesun:
How do you get Rosetta?

My understanding is it's something that comes with Macs by default. My friend didn't know what it was and didn't download it from somewhere; it was there when she clicked get info on the launcher

I did a fresh reinstall and went back to a19, then back to a20, went to the local files from steam and did get info on the game file and not the launcher and sure enough there it was "launch with rosetta" and i clicked that and it worked! now i can play with my husband and kids! Thank you!
