As always TFP is interested in all constructive criticism and feedback, but what we're really looking for in this thread are the following:
  • Show stopping game play bugs (Hopefully with reproduction steps)
  • Crashes (Try and get reproduction steps and post your output_log.txt files - usually found here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\7 Days To Die\7DaysToDie_Data\output_log.txt - directly in your forum post. Note: You will find all output_logs time stamped there, even from old games. You can also attach your zipped up crash dump file too.)
  • Chunk Generation Bugs. People please give us the coordinates of where they were in the world when they run into a chunk generation error plus the game seed. Copy and pasting the error alone and the output log is not sufficient to help with a fix.
Additionally, you can post balance and feedback in the current Dev diary.

Here's how to opt in and play the latest experimental branch.

Open your steam client.
1. Click on Games/View Games Library
2. Right click ‘7 Days to Die’ and select properties
3. From the new popup dialogue box select the ‘BETAS’ Tab
4. Under ‘Select the beta you would like to opt into’ latest_experimental

The game will then update and download the latest experimental build Alpha 17 Experimental

Switching back to the latest main stable build is as easy as repeating steps 1-4 and on step 4 choose the option ‘None – Opt out of all Beta Programs’ and you’ll revert to the latest stable build.

Press F1 to open the console, then type dbs
This will open a panel in game for you to type the bug in.
once done click ok
there will then be a SCREENSHOTS folder in the main 7 days folder.

your output log files are in C /steamLibrary/steamapps/common/7Daystodie/7daystodiedata/ you will find a list of ol logs, the last one being the most recent.

also when taking a screen shot you can use the debug info, go into dm mode ( Type dm in the console ) Type dm to turn it off again
Press F3, that will bring up the debug overlay, you will need to press f3 twice to close it.
If you use the f3 feature no need for cords in the screen shot as they are in that info.

Added:

  • Wood bars that can be upgraded to iron bars
  • Pink dye
  • Ammo Piles
  • Wall Hung Sink
  • Battery banks can be crafted with T5 yeah science
  • Sleeper vultures will wander at 40% of normal height
  • Added new gas_station9 to randomgen and navazgane


Changed:

  • Mods for tools to increase block damage
  • You can overeat a little so that your max stamina does not start dropping immediately afterwards
  • Vehicles can not be sold to traders
  • Decreased sleeper CPU use from movement and collision checking
  • Decreased sleeper CPU and garbage by not updating bag or inventory
  • Reduced materials needed to craft wheels.
  • Increased probability to find acid and a chance for more acid when found.
  • Increased block damage on Miner 69er
  • Lower quality materials like wood are 20% more durable against zombies
  • Steel can no longer be upgraded to stainless steel
  • Sleeper volume predefined counts to 12 to 910
  • Player death backpack despawns after 60 minutes. Timer only ticks while the map chunk it is in remains loaded.
  • Near Death Trauma debuff duration reduced to 30 minutes
  • Reduced vulture attack speed and bleed %
  • Taking damage blacks out less of the HP bar
  • Using up stamina blacks out less of the stamina bar
  • Bandages and First Aid Bandages restore more health.
  • Crop seeds are cheaper to craft
  • Reinforced Concrete does not downgrade to Concrete
  • Slightly increased chance for acid under sinks
  • Default weather fog isnt as dense close to the camera
  • Description of boom headshot was ambiguous
  • Description about iron and level armor crafting perk requirements are more descriptive.
  • Optimized: Local player SetModelLayer (just set base and colliders, no cam/effect checks)
  • Optimized world entity is visible to local player check
  • Increased vulture attack delay to .9


Fixed:

  • Craft button on Table Saw says Mix when it should say Craft
  • Table Saw makes cement mixer sound
  • All known broken recipes
  • Muffled Schematics are now T2 loot
  • Advanced Muffled Schematics are now T3 loot
  • Landclaim compass icon disappears when breaking inactive land claim.
  • Problem that texture array was not set to low res version when game options were changed
  • Double swing with melee weapons
  • Punching after block placement
  • Corrected Ninja Movement description
  • ModGunCrippleEm is functional
  • Toolbelt message for broken items need updating
  • When dropped the Flashlight is very difficult to pick up
  • Forge and First Aid bandage should no longer be basics
  • Brown dye localization needs to be changed or added
  • Corn Bread description typo
  • Torches are not at the 3D location where they were placed
  • Mod Fortifying Grip is not working
  • Some dyes are stackable
  • Leather armor requires a workbench to craft
  • Vulture puke causes Exception
  • Tablesaw couldn't be crafted
  • Compound bow wasn't craftable
  • Crossbow has to be crafted at a work bench
  • Sometimes placing a block or using an item would play legacy drink from hands animation
  • Redundant entries for electrical parts ingredients / recipes
  • Some mods are not installable in shovels
  • Wrong description on molotovs
  • Structural brace mod not installable
  • Missing description on Charging Bull
  • Torch has weird horizontal bands in foggy rain and snow
  • Missing Required Intellect 4 localization.
  • Client see trees that have no hitbox
  • Players can misjudge Near Death Trauma due to severe reduction of the debuff effect during the first 90s
  • Controller: No toggle run with the left stick
  • Servers not accepting ServerMaxPlayerCount players at a time
  • Recipes intended to unlock with Engineering reference the wrong perk name
  • Stretched paint on burnt wood blocks
  • ModArmorBandolier is not working
  • AttacksPerMinute not working on melee
  • Added Grace spawn to House_old_Gambrel_03 (Brad)
  • Water is no longer placeable using the Replace Block feature
  • Problem that texture array was not set to low res version when game options were changed
  • Female: Hair long and Shaggy Hair use Hair Bun
  • Male beard long handlebar, male regent mustache, male spaniard goatee
  • After reloading a weapon, moving it around will result in lost ammo
  • Flashlight toggles off when moving toolbelt items around
  • Bow not having arrow prefab until switching weapons or forcing a reload
  • Weapons swallow unloaded ammo after first time modification
  • Easy camera clipping exploit in A17 with e.g. ramps
  • Crouching into a one block terrain wall hole will allow xray vision
  • RWG Trader quest sometimes would not find location.
  • Missing buff descriptions of all grandpa's drinks



Known issues:

  • Auger and chainsaw soundloop in MP games
  • Trader Jen has a deep voice
  • Players visually disappear for another when looking up
  • No lights on vehicles
  • Turrets target zombies through walls
  • Guns with a magazine size of 1 still autoreload
  • Some mods are in a testing phase only and do not work yet.
  • Stealth has some issues that may not get fixed until the next patch.
  • Server connection issues
  • Floating POIs
  • Repair material not refunded when repair was cancelled
  • Binding F key for interact does not properly clear the F menu function and will block radial menu use
  • Lanclaim blocks of other players can show on map/compass
  • In some scenarios double swing may still occur
  • Some scenarios where trees remain in the world, repro cases are welcome
  • Ammo count of nailgun goes broke, when equipped with full auto receiver
  • Nail some chicks Challenge may not be completeable due to issues with nailgun
  • Trader Rekt is nicer than usual
