Why is the leveling hoe mod not a part of this game yet
Seriously why is it so hard to make level ground or get rid of the gap around something you build into the ground???

Suggestion: make building blocks, set them to the 3 voxel by 3 voxel shape (which exists for the sake of breakaway floor traps), and place. You’ll level the terrain and destroy the grass, 9 blocks at a time.

If you're aware there's a mod for the feature you want, why aren't you using that?
It would be nice if they could do something in vanilla about the gaps between the ground and blocks we place in it like OP said. Glad there are mods, but it's something that should be imported in vanilla IMO, because it's about fixing an existing feature that doesn't work very well.

Flattening ground already has solutions in vanilla, but not the gaps afaik.

The mod does have some issues. EAC must be disabled. Won't work for consoles. Relies on the author to update it, and last update was last July. All reasons that a similar function in vanilla would be nice.
