It was shelved because the size of the boss caused issues with pathfinding in the voxel space. I wouldn't put it past TFP to bring something like that back later though for legendary bosses in specific areas with specialized mechanics. Either later in Alpha or as DLC after release.
Thanks. Well, it's a pity they don't have a small mod for it. I do remember those behemoths in "The Forest" that would go through the map and, IF they happened to be heading toward your base (when you weren't there)....say bye-bye to that base LOL
Khaine does have a modlet that brings back the old behemoth. It's not what I'd call giant, but it's larger than normal zombies.

I love some of the elements of Darkness Falls but not the whole system and my game is very modded to my specific tastes but thanks all the same :)
I do love it when they break apart these systems and you can pick and choose things.
hes got modlets for specific things. A number of them are server side only, so no one on a server has to download anything to experience it, just the server.
Yes, i've seen some of his stuff. Mostly, his is why i love that they sometimes part them out.
I wish they would part out "more" of "The Wasteland"...too little of that parted out as far as i can tell.
Rumor has it hes got a huge update coming out, but as for details I dont really know.
Joke mod, darkness falls as others say, and war3zuk aio mod and maybe age of oblivion? i played a bit into the last one and saw a trailer with a dragon, but never seen one.
Of course, years ago, i would get jumped for asking questions. I will say a lot of people have lightened up since the 20 teens years. It was really aggressive, back then, if you questioned anything the coders did.
