Gore-blocks becoming too much?
Since the developers made it so zombies turn into gore blocks its been annoying to clean them up. Now that they've made it so its a 3-stage system to destroy them its become even more annoying. If we are to keep the gore-block system I would at least like to see one regular zombie create one layer of the three layer block. Maybe the bloated zombies and cop zombies could create two layers since they have more mass. Tell me what you think...

How about a sand box option with a slider that goes from 1 to 6 so people can make them harder or easier to remove. But the cop and fat atomic wedgie ones always leave an extra layer or 2, or 3, depending on what the slider is set too.

It's becoming a freaking chore - not enjoyable at all - I get why they introduced these but they've got be easier to clean up after all the dying's done.

Doing maintenance on damaged spikes is annoying enough - now I spend a significant portion of my in-game time just cleaning up gore blocks before even starting on the maintenance.

I already have an apartment to keep clean, please don't turn 7DtD into a chores-simulator.

I would like to be able to use them as some sort of anti-zombie wall they can be weak but repel zombies way.

Why do you clean them up? Do you mean around spikes or aesthetics? Just asking.

They make a pile zeds can use to get over your walls, or out of your pits, as well as over your spikes. In addition to that all the gore attracts more.

Interesting. Obviously has to be done as part of maintenance but I thought those closeby could be ignored, that attracting more zeds was a kind of urban legend if you get my drift.

I don't have a problem with them but I can understand why others would, I doubt I am in the majority.

I left my big base just for that reason, after a night of hordes I can spend most of my day getting rid of the gore blocks and sometimes do not have the time to fix spikes before night comes again. Now I understand the reason why they put them in, and I am ok with that. It just gets so time consuming to deal with it on a daily basis. It feels like the bigger your base is the more penalized you are for having it. This is not a game breaker for me, but I would like to 1 hit the gore to get rid of them to save me a ton of time. I have moved to a much smaller basse to cut down on dealing with the gore.

1. Zombie gore blocks don't attract zombies (they don't affect the heat map at all).
2. They should disappear after some time.

^Depends on all the same factors that chopping down a tree or breaking a rock depend on - type of tool, condition, your stamina and H20. I think Pickaxe is the most effective tool for taking them down? Well, auger if you wanna waste gas on gore.

If they do not now, they will. That is how they are meant to work.

Yeah it's a mechanic to prevent us all getting too safe in our walled off bases. In theory it works well, but there's some work needed for sure.

Alpha 12 has been less about zombie survival and more about base upkeep.

The gore blocks are unrealistic, annoying, and a chore to clean since A12. No matter what they do, how badly they nerf our defenses and buff the Z, they'll still be walking idiots, and we always be smarter than them. As it should be. You don't expect to survive a Z apocalypse by sheer strength only.
Also, I don't understand why they focus so much on that. Base building is a selling point for the game. And currently, it's not the biggest issue for endgame being boring.

1/not yet. It's planned to attract Z in the future.
2/they turn into fertile soil block. Which means you still have an issue if it blocks something

I don't believe they are supposed to turn into a dirt block. That had been said to be a bug, and I only see it very very rarely myself.

I've never had one turn into soil. When it is a pyramid shape (one block) on the ground though, I have see the texture of the ground bleed onto the gore block making it look like that. Still goes squish when you walk on it, and splat when you try clean it up like gore though. I most commonly see this effect when a zed dies on the road.
