how can you do a stealth build in 7D2D when zombies don't spawn until you're already in the room?

Saves ammo early on, but I don't put points into stealth. I wear a piece of stealth eff. in 1.0 and a piece for -100% stealth sprint noise and got a perk for 0 stamina usage during stealth sprint.
Can stealth less than half the mobs, but less ammo usage.

try assasin full set tier 6 and 5/5 shadows perk.

you win. its the same as enabled ghost mode on demand by crouching. stops even trigger zombies. its totally broken currently. will become a meta in the next months.

trigger zombies to spawn. crouch. hidden in 1 second. so unless the zombie spawns right on top of you you will always become hidden.

you can stand in front of a zombie and he wont see you with this.

just try it if you dont believe it.

make sure its tier 6. tier 5 wont work the same way.

You can do stealth build but you need to know POIs and "trigger spots" in order to avoid them. One of the common tactic (there are other tactics too) is to do POI in reverse, meaning you go from the "end", most often the loot room, back to the "start". There are still some zombies that will spawn only after you do something (press a button, open rolling door etc) but you can learn that spots too. If you have knowledge of layouts almost any POI can be good for stealth builds.

I would say I use a "Jack of all Trades" build, but that does involve investing and using Stealth to a large extent. I find stealth challenging and fun. V1.0 Experimental has some new challenges that I'm curious if they'll be tweaked, or not.

I think stealth builds are fun. I don't think they are meant as an initial strategy. When bandits go live, I am pretty sure a stealth build will be helpful, been wrong before.

I choose the double damage gloves over the weird cheat set bonus of becoming invisible by changing the rooms ^^
I don't want to make my win depend on whether there is a zombie behind me blocking me, lol.

Yeah, i was excited for new challenges too, but they are kinda meh with few exceptions. They give 2,3,5k of experience.. Who cares? If they were all like the last row of challenges, where you get ammo, mods etc it would be much better.

For an instance, mining challenges could give you tools, farming- seeds and farm plots, killing zombies- ammo and weapon parts, finding traders and biomes- dukes and so on. Tweaked ofc, so the rewards would not be OP, but not insignificant either. Minor exp boost as it is now is so underwhelming.

More evidence that the new armour system is terrible... this shouldn't be possible.

To be fair, this is really the only armour set that's like this. All the other set bonuses are pretty mediocre.

I find the biggest tactical mistake players may make is assuming that as soon as a zombie activates, stealth is over. Not true! If you’re investing in stealth and trying to be stealthy, chances are the zombie doesn’t see you and isn’t coming towards you. They’re coming towards the spot where you made a noise. In many cases you can still creep away and take out the zombie(s), with stealth bonus, without them even attacking because they never confirm where you are.

Stealth builds always. Though it’s way too OP.

Have noticed several times, they spawn when I trigger them, but they don't activate, they idle/sleeping until I make a noise. Then again there is POI's that isn't the case and they come swarming like a bee hive. County Jail and similar.

Stealth build is just goofy, if you speec into the sneak attack and shadows skill, and use the assassin set, you are basically invisible, even if the zombies see you, you just need to crouch and hide behind a wall for a couple seconds. Also, in multiplayer servers, sneak attacks seems to be broken, every hit while crouched counts as sneak attack

The T4 Blue Ridge or something army base. More like a camp. When you get to the last 1/3rd of the POI you hit 4 volume triggers and the feral soldiers know exactly where you are.
