Are lucky looters worth it?

I can't say I notice much of a difference with them on. Does anybody else wear them? What glasses do you prefer?

The goggle I would say no. The bonus is too small but if you get them for free in a drop and have nothing else for their slot then better than nothing. Dont buy them though. The glasses worth getting are the xp glasses that also reduce crafting times and the intellect glasses for a trader trick involving the secret stash.

Edit Goatfish also reminded me about the nvgs. Depending on playstyle they also are worth it.

i wear night vision goggles. i don't really notice if they make a difference because i generally invest Lucky Looter perk through early game

They are absolutely worth it, especially early on.
If you can, you should be on rotation - nerdy glasses almost always and lucky ones when opening main loot.

The glasses could be made into mods for some all-purpose piece of eyewear. Then you’d still have to find/buy each type. It would be a less cheaty way to have multiple stat boosts at once.

That is almost how I did the mod. You do need one of each type.

The way I did the mod, you have to have one of each type of glasses/shades to craft the Eagle Eye Shades. You then need Eagle Eye Shades & Night Vision Goggles to craft Eagle Eye Night Vision.

You probably don't notice because most of the time, the bonus is small enough to not make a noticeable difference. However, when you pass the next tech loot stage, you are in a better tier in loot. The first stage is loot stage 40? (it changes dependant on version). The game automatically calculates the bonus with multipliers which include your level. Obviously, the higher the level, the higher the multiplier but as its complicated and considering the changeable loot stages with POI tier and biome tier it is beneficial to wear xp goggles to clear a POI then wear the lucky looters to loot after. Sometimes it will boost you into the next tier of loot but most of the time it will just give a marginal increase in the same tier.

It can be a pain to remember to swap out but it is worth it in my opinion to play this way. But you do you.
