Game is so unoptimized the spawns need to be limited to absolute minimum and when you explore PoIs they spawn on room to room basis.
The outdoors is exactly what you have asked for.
The first time i played it, i went into Dishong tower on day 2 to get away from the constant zombies.
Hi, and thanks for your answer.
I feel like 7dtd is mostly about being hungry and dehydrated. It doesn't really feels to be a zombie survival game. I swear, i can record a 15 minutes video of me running around the city and finding 5 zombies at best.
No, i don't want to have a Blood Moon every night. It won't fix the no zombies around issue. It will just make the experience worse. The game is called 7dtd for some reason, isn't it?
I'm now wating for screamers to appear. Still, i'm not sure this will give me what i'm asking for.
On day 60-70 and later the Blood Moon Night took me most of the next day to defend against. It's irritating. After it... there are no zombies around for 6 days again. I swear, they gather somewhere and plan the "7 day to die" attack. Funny, and silly.
I'm not talking about 100 zombies per square meter. 5 of them, 10 maybe. The world feels empty, Again, most of zombies are in the houses, and no, I don't have any Performance Issues with having 32 zombie Blood Moon nights.
Not talking about corpses not dispawning for 10 minutes or until player is away. Not talking about constant zombie waves. Not talking about 1000+ zombies on the screen.
Graphic and memory settings allow you to change how the game runs. Settings range from 2d 10px flat trees to 4k 3d. My 2010 laptop can run this game on medium settings with 16 zombie blood moon nights.
When a player joins a modded MP server with 1000+ zombies, 200+ players, 500+vehicles, 10000+ containers everywhere, well... why should i care about performance in this case.
Pretty sure if we have 5 to 10 zombie crowds spawn around the player more often instead of 1-2 zombie per mile, the game won't crash.
This is alpha, isn't it? Can we have a "more Zombies" option?
I'll try it out, thanks.
I tried it and tend to understand now the reason for not having those amounts of zeds.
As of now, and how the game works, it's just tedious and boring to have to club through 30 or more roaming zeds every time you hit a new chunk before you can even start doing the things you came for.
Hm, i might search for this one. Yet, I do not wish to have unstoppable crowds of zombies comming at me or roaming around. Just a FEW more. Just for them to be there. Again, i'm riding my bike through the city and i'm not seeing any zombies for days. 1 or 2 casual roamers here and there maybe for every third ride from A to B and back. Inside POIs = yes, a lot.
It's not about that YOU have to deal with all the zombies you run into. You can ignore them and pass by, btw.
But there are so few.
It def gives back the A15 roamers feeling. Once cleared, it takes a while for them to respawn.
Maybe exactly what you're looking for.
As for passing by... No, not with feral sense enabled... 😂
And if your heading for a mission poi, you def better clear the streets first.
Another solution would be to adventure in the wasteland. I feel there are more zeds there per square meter than anywhere else. The other benefit is they respawn quite faster.
Adventuring and travelling works fine. While you travel from one city to another, you might encounter zombies... yet, i wouldn't say it's that many as i wished there were. Maybe it's the distance? No idea? What spawns them in on the way to where you travel? Do they despawn behind you? We can start from here.
While in the city, while doing quests, or just wandering around finding specific buildings, i see so few zombies i can't even believe. Again, it's empty. From what people comment on mods (done some searching)... well, mods really just do spawn zombies "on your head".
What i'm really looking for is a chance to get more zombies spawned around me. Not on my head, not to constantly roam at me, but in the open spaces around me. On the streets. In the wilds.
The best scenario here for always having like 10 zombies around the player. I'm sure there's not even this happening now in the game. I just logged in and, well, there were no zombies around my base in a 200-meter range. Not a single one. Couldn't find.
Are zombies tied to POIs that much now? Do POIs spawn them and that's it? Remember any quest, the digging one is the best example. It spawns zombies in, with you digging and then finding the loot. Probably any other quest does the same. Do zombies spawn in when you enter a building? If that's how it is... well, it really helps the performance, and it's not a bad thing at all, but again... outsides feel empty...
I don't want them to turn up zombies. I want to find a way to do it for myself. We have a lot of options to config the world.
Yet, "How many zombies around" setting would be great. Could work as a nice performance check also.
On default difficulty, it takes 3 hits with the lowest quality wooden club to kill a zombie. This is for the
Any blue or even green weapon, mostly oneshots zeds. A single pipe bomb kills most of them at once.
Tested some random gen 2048 desert and wasteland 100% plains worlds, no towns. Zombies spawn in a range of like 50-100-200 meters away from each other. There's definitely more of them in these biomes, but still few...
Will continue on with finding a good mod... =(
No, I don't want it to be a l4d, a DL2, a WWZ game or any game like these, relating to the amount of infected. A little more... just a little.
