Easy 7th day surviving?
Hello. I really like to focus on exploring and hate all that basebuilding, is there any wat to survive without building? Maybe try to barricade inside bunker? They don't eat through concrete until night is over?

Yea, turn off horde.
Or try to adapt POI

On normal 1h setting blood moon is so short that you can just hide and wait. but seriously, if you don't like it than just turn it off.

Yeah, if you plan to just hide in a hole anyway, you might just want to turn horde night off so you can keep playing when it comes. But otherwise, the first few horde nights can generally be survived by just knocking out the staircase in a 2-story house or getting rid of the ladder leading up a cell tower.

Oh, it can be turned off. Thanks.

Ahh, the procedurally generated world. An unending expanse of infinite monotony. The world is truly your oyster, and it turns out, you are the pearl.

First:
They always eat through the concrete and the ground. Be it the night or not.

Second:
7th day is rather easy to survive. If you've been doing trader quests, there is a high chance he'd suggest you getting some molotovs and/or pipe bombs as rewards. They are rather cheap, too, so, if you're scavenging, there is a high chance you've already got enough resources for some.
All you need is to find a 2-3 store building with brick walls(1500 and higher health), block all the entrances with 2-3 layers of cobblestone, and reinforce all the first floor walls with it as well(just 1 layer is good). Smaller the house - the better(but not too small!).

Now, just wait till the 7th day night, at the roof of that building, and with a molotov in your hand. Let them group up near a wall, throw the molotov there, and see the entire group dying to just one molotov. Keep repeating everytime zombies are grouping up somewhere. Make sure you're not letting them hit that wall for too long.
That house should be good for the next 2-3 horde nights.

Yep!

alternatively there are ways to mostly avoid the horde even while it is active. As the post above me mentions you can easily use any pre-built house to weather the horde.

You do not even have to fight back as suggested, Axe out the stairs and any access to the second floor and you can AFK/craft the whole night. This keeps a "ticking clock" feel on the rest of your week.

Nothing wrong with turning it off though.

I'm not a builder either, I'll take an existing poi and fortify it over time.

Some suggestions: the "Dead Rooster" bar is great, strong walls, outdoor overhangs, and open upper level where you can sit back and toss molotovs.

The chapel/cemeteries, which come with complete stone walls already built.

The electrical substations and cell towers give you a fenced in high health shack to throw bombs from the roof while zombies bang on the gate.

Fire stations are a bit larger (I prefer smaller horde bases) but are very durable and have layouts for a variety of defensive options.

Find a somewhat big building , clear and and use it as a horde base. The creamery in the burnt city of base navezgane is literally gold for this.. stupid eazy to cut the way to the top floor, all made of cobblestone to begin with, plus a lot of the zombies goes under the central top window so you can just grind exp super chill shooting them pricks, and after you are done you just quickly patchwork with concrete and you're golden, about 15 mins irl of setup and 10 mins of repairs after a horde, (day 50 something, demolition bois are spawning and we play with 16 zombies horde (2 players 8 each.) Still super easy, barely an inconvenience.. XD

It sounds like the OP is happy with turning the Blood Moon off. But for others in the same camp, remember there's a setting just for the block damage enemies do during the Blood Moon. If you like having Blood Moons and don't want to nerf the speed or damage zombies will do to you, but also you don't like playing defensive architect figuring out how to build structures to withstand them, then this would be the ideal setting to adjust.

Surviving the 7th day is very easy tbh, including without setting up a base. It's very easy to turn a poi into a place to hold by taking out a few stair blocks and taking out the zombies where they gather.
Hell, it's easy to survive like that on horde every night runs with hordes maxed out even.

Woodspike, lots of wood spikes

Horde night can be easy if your difficulty settings are at default on adventure mode with 5-8 zombies. Insane mode makes zombies stronger, harder to kill, which is something for those Marvel/DC comics fanboys would like. Zombies are supposed to be rotting, mushy, and vulnerable to bullets or whatever that smash or go thru their heads.

I picked Working Stiff store that's in middle of map by the river for horde night. I destroyed a ladder that was 2 blocks high in backyard so zombies have no ways to reach the top. I put some of my ladders 3 blocks high on walls and some other areas on buildings to rooftops so that I can jump onto and climb around but zombies cannot do that. If POI is badly damaged, I can always visit trader joe to do tier 2 missions that would reset for that POI. Working Stiff has a long wall of concrete around in backyard that I can walk on. It would take too many horde nights to destroy most parts of wall before reset thru trader joe anyway.

I play solo, so base building is not in the cards, so i use existing POIs for both home and as a Horde base. My favorite POIs to use as a home, would be either the Firestation or the P&B Paper company. As for a Horde Base I find Buddy's Grain an easymode horde base, open the doors, slap down some woodspikes around the walls, fix a few of the bridges to "give" the zombies a path and allow you to shoot them as they conga-line their way to the top of the inside. downside is this POI has a weak boost to loot drops but its an easy base to manage.
