That’s exactly right. It’s a thankless job, and nobody’s got to do it.
You're not wrong, but hopefully by staying positive we can motivate each other to pitch in. Any work on the wiki would be appreciated by many, so I'd encourage anyone to give it a go.
not really complaining, just more or less amazed that no one has helped out.
i mean there's games like minecraft, starbound ,terraria, and many other building type games that the community helps out with the Wikis, it just a bit odd with this game as big this community is
that no one has helped out but i might go contribute a bit with the weapons after i get some rest and find me a pen and paper document the info on Weapon Attachments what gose with what, plus i got to see how gamepedia works too so there that, also i hope by talking about it that it will get noticed.
Also keeping up with a wiki is not an easy job, you can't rely on community effort as things need to be fact checked and tested or program code inspected for veracity. There's a lot of misinformation out there about 7DtD game mechanics that could also make it's way in the wiki's if it was a community free for all, and that stuff needs time to weed out.
You don't have time? In one of the longest EA periods ever on Steam? Sounds like information transmitted to the Players is not anywhere near a high priority. That seems the obvious observation.
I mean what? Is that sort of excuse supposed to actually work?
Yes, I get that nowadays the Fans tend to create the Wikis. Unhunh. No manual, now at least there is a tutorial.
See, when things keep changing, Wikis fall behind. This is more about the constant changing features and implementations in development, and that load of makework on the development team even after all these years, than about not having the time.
There is not time because the Devs keep using the time for do-overs, instead of hammering down the game and thus the info for the players.
They go together. Blame it on the players if you like. I think if we knew that A18 or A19 was the last build of 7DTD we'd have the answer. I don't see how you guys have the money or time to go much longer. Beats the heck out of me.
What is going to be the final 7DTD, what is in it? I mean if there is a design doc, it should be fixed by now. There's your Wiki. After all these years, shouldn't it better be?
Shrug. I think I'm going to have to avoid these forums a while. The more I read, the more worried I get.
Not gonna happen. Make it a real wiki, one for each game version. We have access to all versions, it makes zero sense to invalidate and destroy previous works
