How have I never heard most of these?

Voice recordings are booked for discrete sessions of time. You only have a few hours with a voice artist, so you get in all the lines you need (and even lines you think you may need) while the talent is in the booth. You may not be ready to use those lines until much later, when more game features are added. The fact these assets already exist is a sign that, whether they share their plans publicly or not, TFP have been working out production schedules and following their internal roadmap for producing the game.

Can I get a witness! Thank you Crater. This is heartening and interesting. Tidbits like this are easy to over look if one is too busy being negative too often maybe. TFP are drinking red tea and laffin at some of us in these forums;-). I wonder how that crow is gonna taste in the future when this game drops? That is if there are men enough to tell it lol. Cheers

And who are the voice actors? I can't find this information anywhere and most sources assume they're just TFP employees. The same guy literally voices every male trader in the game.

I’d be surprised if they’re not listed in the credits, in game.

So would I. Which is why I ask, because they're not. I'm even more surprised that these credits can't be found anywhere online. Their IMBD page is pretty barren.

Matter fact, A LOT of information about this game is pretty sparse. Most of it is either severely outdated or purely anecdotal. It always frustrates and confuses me when a game I like that's this successful just doesn't have an active community that really digs into the technical information. Just a bunch of rumors to sift through.

Years back when I was a lot newer at the game, I came here to ask how something worked and they said "check the XML". Like a dad telling you to use the encyclopedia instead of sharing the answer. I'm fine with the wiki being out of date otherwise tho. No point in updating it every alpha every day

I get the desire for a dad telling you to find your own answer because they're, you know, trying to develop you into a self-sufficient human. But the internet is literally designed to be a crowd-sourced encyclopedia. I'm actively in the process of researching that information, peer review is a part of that.

But it isn't even just the wiki that bugs me. I've seen plenty of games that have been in their final release for years with terrible wikis. But I watch videos of people in the 7dtd community and look up reddit posts, and even though you can't 100 percent rely on that information, it's like there is no consistency of what people believe about this game. The best I can hope for is trying to find as much confirmation on a single subject.

There's probably no consistency with what ppl believe/know about the game because the game itself is always changing. There is also all the different mods with their own game mechanics. I've seen so many ppl comment on YT vids of this game offering suggestions on what to do that only work in a certain mod and the YT vid is not about that mod.

As for Trader Jen's voice actor, according to a post by SylenThunder on the official forums, Madmole mentioned who the actor was. Oddly, I can't find any posts by Madmole for that time period. Actually, it appears that thousands of posts by him are gone. Profile says over 10,000 posts, but search only finds 6 pages worth.

I believe that's because they went with a different forum provider or changed something to do with how the forum works, honestly can't remember what, but I do remember reading a quick comment about a forum change within the last month or so.
