Hello fellow 7DTD fans,

So I did some searching of this forum and all the comments about my question seem to be on onlder builds. What is up with the water now ?

Not here to complain about the game at all. I love the game. But I cannot find any water. I have been running in all directions and dying of thirst and I cannot find any rivers or lakes or sources of H2O.

Did that get changed in anyone's opinion/experience or am I just not looking hard enough ? I have found one cave also, and no water is there either. Been running around different biomes and just no luck yet. Ironically, I guess I have to find the desert now and start harvesting there to get what I need.

That's funny because there are several posts from people saying there is too much water A14. RWG is RWG

If you can't find any lakes, it may just be a bad world seed. Try a new seed and see if you can find some water, or you can turn on cheat mode and fly around to see if there are any.

It must be a very interesting seed, most people are complaining about the overabundence of water features.

If you encounter a snow/winter biome you can shovel up snow, and cook it in a campfire with jars and a pot (or a tin can) to make all the water you need. Extra benefit.... you can carry a large stack of snow, to make more water whenever you need.

LOL..Really ? That is a bit funny here...thanks for the post.

I am sure it is there somewhere but I am surprised I have not found any yet. I keep having to kill Zeds to get water when they have any on them, that is. LOL

Can someone suggest a biome that has the problem of too much water that you are mentioning ? That mabye could help.

I've always seen lakes near forest biomes, but I'm sure they can be found in any of them.

Thanks for that suggestion. Never thought of going higher using the cheat mode. I would like to avoid that if possible, but thanks again just the same.

You guys could be right about the seed I got. I was actually trying to do just that, find the snow biome to get snow and make water that way but no luck yet. I cannot seem to find the dessert or snow biome before it gets close to dark and I have to get back to my base. I will just have to keep trying I guess.

I am actually in the forrest biome and been around for a few days now and not found any yet. Interesting......

Yeah it boils down to luck. I spawned right next to 2 lakes so i was set for a long time. Also wildlife out the arse by being a few feet away from a forest.

Rich houses that have a fenced in back yard have swimming pools that you can also get water from. Also if you look on your map you may see splotches which turn out to be puddles, but you can usually get water from those as well.

is there a snow biom? you can also use snow to fill your bottles.

Thanks, guys. Just paused to check on the thread and I appreciate the replies. I have still not found any water. Been running around the destroyed biome, a small part of a semi-desert biome (not sure cause this is a new game on the new release), and the forrest biome. Not found any other biomes yet and really would love the snow biome so I could get water that way.

I remember about the rich houses, and that is a good idea. But I have not found any of them yet either. Found two small towns with pill store and hardware store so for now the drink machines are keeping me alive...that and whatever I can scrounge from zeds I kill.

It is surely a challenge but seems a bit unrealistic to go so long and far without water. I mean I am running from sunup to sundown, too. Not one puddle !

Oh well, as one nice user said, it boils down to luck. I am not complaining about the game at all, as I do love the game and understand it is all random gen when you play that selection so thanks again for the attention to the thread and the suggestions.

RWG there is always water pools in Hub.. go to 0.0 coords you will find a big city near there but beware the cops, dogs and bees. Run in get your water and run out.

That was in the back of my mind as a last resort and looks like I am going to have to do just that. Thanks. Hub city, here I come I guess. LOL

It's either die of thirst or die by dog/cop.

I havn't seen a map that was not at least 50% water yet in RWG since A14. Maybe try another seed name? I'd personally like less water, or a boat to get around in if not.
