Which map to choose?
I am playing on PREGEN03 right now with friends and it's fun so far. But we nearly raided all "big" buildings of the cities and it probably will get boring within a few days.
We want to copy our exisiting base to an other map and start raiding new cities. Preferably a map with many huge building ( >5 floors) since we like to raid them at night. (we like to fight big zombie hordes)
Any recommandation on a new map? Navezgane, PREGEN01, PREGEN02 or maybe a mod map?

From those I would say 01.
But imho generate a new one and than check that you have all t5 buildings :)

Be aware that the prefab maps are the same kinds of maps as ones you generate with the random world generator. RWG was used to create those pregen maps, so any unique qualities they have is down to random chance.

You may find useful the pinned thread in the Survivor Stories sub-forum, which is the place to discuss and share particular map seeds.

The cities (vanilla, not modded) are all going to feel rather the same, new map or not, just randomly rearranged, different surrounding terrain/location etc. You aren't going to see any exciting brand new buildings (POI's) if you've been through every single city/town of one of the pre-gen maps already.

Navezgane is an exception because it's not random, so you'll see things you won't see in the randoms. But it's not a huuuge map.

Edit: if you just like to fight big hordes, increase spawns or respawn timers maybe? If your server/pc's can handle it. Z's in POI's do respawn, after all.

Also keep in mind that if you do quests you'll eventually get to the point where the trader will send you to those big POIs, which will let you reset them pretty much at will.

There really isn't a huge variety of the big POIs, so creating a new game probably isn't going to give you something new.

Have you tried East Soasa County? I think there's west too. A dozen towns on huge island with forest biome in middle while each other biomes are on each sides. Easy spawn near a small cemetery with walls in east soasa county to get start. There are some huge factories. If you wanna non stop spawning of zombies, wasteland isn't far, go there at night time and make lot of noises.

Alright good to know. Thanks for the information

I would say random gen or no balls.
Exploring a new place > exploring a place youve been before.

Random Gen and use 'blackjack' as seed name. Great map so far imo.

I managed to get the old Nitrogen mod to work on my alpha 19 and it creates pretty interesting worlds.

This is a work-in-progress but I have had good results so far.

Thank you for this, map generators are always appreciated.

Yes, thank you, this looks promising!

^ I really like that generator (using vanilla game/prefabs). 16k maps still take 15-20 minutes but 8k's are taking like 1-1.5 minutes on my rig. Nice you can make inbetween sizes like 6k or 12k too.

It'll take a while to figure out settings you like best/generate your "perfect" map but, good stuff! I can live with a few wonky POI elevation issues here and there. Not like vanilla pregens are perfect either.

If you follow his thread on the official forums, he is very active in addressing people's concerns, problems, and requests.

When someone mentioned it did not work with win7 which he still used, he made an effort to make it compatible. he has added features that people asked for. Things like that.

If you use and like the tool but have suggestions for improvement or small issues with it, you should let him know.
