Why would TFP integrate native support for a live streaming platform focused entirely on young women who lounge around in hot tubs all day? This whole operation constitutes a grievous misallocation of valuable developmental assets.

Unless... Does this mean Joel plans to livestream himself playing 7DTD from his hot tub? That might make it worth it.

Check out Fubar_Prime. Twitch streamer that plays 7DtD and, as it happens, he’s also the programmer at TFP who added Twitch integration. And nary a hot tub in sight on his channel from what I’ve seen.

I also wonder why they did this? The only reason that I can see is that Fubar wanted it for his channel.

Fubar DID want it for his channel.

Therefore he developed the tool in his off-time for he and his viewers to enjoy.

They enjoyed it so much that he took it to tfp and asked if they would like to include it in the base game.

So in the end, the game got something added that a subset of the population will have a lot of fun with that cost no dev time/money to implement and will cost just a small amount of time to keep updated.
