Pregen01 world
I decided to do a new, random map after hundreds of hours in Navesgane. First of all the forest biome looked warped from some weird, funky a-bomb. Secondly, I had looted a heck more oil and brass just from the forest biome alone. Navesgane never had this much resources just from piles and bags of rubbish. I simply had enough of my last play through as most of my time between horde nights was looking for brass for my shell casings. I also maxed out all perks and my game stage level. The pregen01 map provides so much more than what I need on survivalist. Oh, there's also rabbits and chickens galore so no worries about meat.

Welcome to seed based RNG. Neither world inherently provides more or less of anything than the other. It's the same lootable object in both cases, with the same loot list.... The only thing different is the RNG seed you're on.

You're experiencing an apparent increase in certain things now; Which means you're pretty likely to find a horrific lack of something you need/want in the future.

Rabbits and chickens would likewise have been common in Navezgane.....however that's always 'at first', as you can depopulate an area pretty quickly nd then have to range further and further away from 'home' to hunt, and it can start seemingly like theres none at all.

Although I'm fine with the ammo I have for all my weapons but I am hording as much brass as possible for my "future". I usually leave the rabbits and chickens alone for now. I did notice chickens were more in abundance in the burnt forest in Navesgane than in the forest biome though. On the other hand, having smg turrets at my horde base in Navesgane chewed up a lot of 9mm rounds and most of the brass I could gather. This time round I am doing things completely different to ensure I don't waste too much of my resources.

Just a note. When you exit the game and then reload, all the chickens, etc, respawn.

All the ones that were there when you logged out, yes. But areas already depleted of wildlife will still be that way until it's time to become repopulated, regardless of you logging in and out.

You can always modify the spawning xml as well if you feel the respawn takes to long. I did that for zombies as a 3 day respawn for random zombies seemed a bit too long to me.
