Sleep?
It sucks that there's no feature such as sleep like most survival games have. You have a bed but the purpose of it is for your respawn point. Although its okay so that the game would be hardcore, but damn, for a newly spawn player its freaking so hard to find a safe spot to stay the night.

MESSAGE TO THE DEVS:
Maybe you can put a mode, where it is allowed to actually use the bed and sleep. But, if there's an enemy nearby, sleeping is not allowed. That way, game still hardcore because this forces you to battle zombies before you can sleep. And when you lose sleep, you start to lose points. Just an idea for you guys.

Would turning off night-time running (or slowing them to a jog) make surviving the night easier or is it something other than the sprinting zombies getting you at night?

The map/save selection screen (where you choose your save file) has a bunch of options on the right side...one of them is what speed zombies move at night (and feral speeds, and hordenight speed...and daytime speed). Lots of cool options.

I can't think of a way to have a sleep system in a multiplayer game.

I am assuming you want time to pass quickly while sleeping. Would everyone on the server have to sleep whenever anyone wants to sleep?

If not, time would have to pass normally. This would mean that while you are "sleeping", you would just be watching yourself sleep for ages, which is less than compelling game play.

If you are asking for the devs to develop 2 different game versions, one for solo play and one for multiplayer, i am pretty sure that will not happen. They are pushing to finish the game and branching it off into 2 different development paths that have to be coded, tested, and debugged does not make sense.

lack of zombies outside in the streets after 7/9 days or you have found a gun
you will fall asleep for real

Seriously just any low level POI with like 3 or 4 zombies and some without any will do...

That's literally how it works in every other survival game I have played, Minecraft, Valheim... you say 'hey guys, let's hit the sack' and everyone goes to their bed to pass the night since night stuff is less fun generally speaking.

What are you having difficulty with?

Finding a good poi?
Any poi is fine for early game, as others have said get off the ground floor. Smaller pois less threats.

The fast night zombies find u?
There's settings to turn off sprinting zombies, once u learn the game u can always change back settings.

Don't loot all day and start looking for a good place to stay when night starts, pick one early and come back early, treat it like irl.

"With those things running around? U can count me out!"

Just change day zombies to sprint and night zombies to walk. Problem fixed, day time is horrifying now!

I think I remember being able to sleep in singleplayer. We still had black zombies at night and bm, corpses attracted more of them, setting up a base was much more challenging...
It is better to do the chores in and around your base at night, since there is really nothing threatening out there once you clear out nearby zeds. Worst case you have to shoot a zombie.

I wouldn’t say the inability to sleep makes the game “hardcore.” On the contrary, this unusual superpower where the player never has to sleep makes the game easier by giving you more time to do stuff.

OP suggests making it so if you lose sleep, you “lose points.” It’s unclear what that means, but it would only make the game harder.

You do know there are pvp only servers and pve servers where not everyone on the server is allied?

Sleep would work if the game was restricted to single player or multiplayer co-op only. This game does have other types of servers that would not work with a sleep mechanic.

So they should remove sleep from Minecraft too since some people don't play the game like everyone else?

it can be just like minecraft

everyone has to sleep so effects can kick in. its not that complex and doesn't even need 2 versions
