7 Days to Die

7 days..
So i've been playing this game for a couple of years, and just had the random thought that if every 7 days is bloodmoon, it means that bloodmoon a particular day of the week. What day do you think that is, and why?

I’ve always pictured the Blood Moon as occurring on Saturday night going into Sunday morning, the traditional end of the week in US culture. I’ve also proposed the UI be changed from e.g. “Day 55” to “Friday,” now that absolute day number doesn’t matter, so that people don’t have to do the mental math to figure out how far away the next horde is.

You get hurt every day, you are hungry every day, zeds attack you every day, and things break every day. You work every day. Every day is Monday. Yeah snafu.

I agree it's likely the end of the week.
However, due to the fact I live in england I would have said it was happening on sunday night as for us that is the end of the week (not this saturday weeks end nonsense :steammocking:).

I would also argue it's on a sunday as this would mean that as it goes on its also taking place on early monday. And as we all know, young or old, early monday is the worst time of the whole week.

I think horde nights are Monday. Worst day of the week. Weekends over, and the hell of hard work begins. :P

While we're on the topic...... shouldn't 'blood moon' be in conjunction with the cycle of the Moon instead of a 'day of the week' or every 7 day's? I mean within a month we have no moon, quarter moon, half moon, 3/4 moon, and full moon (usually.) And, a full moon could seemingly be 3 nights long..... technically it isn't but it seems like it looking into the night sky. Just seems more logical "Blood Moon" would be in conjunction with the moon cycle. Ofc.... this game is a game and not all that logical anyway, lol. So, for day of week, I'd have to agree Sunday night cuz then we all dragging but Monday morning exhausted from our Shenanigan's of the weekend.

On horde night, the moon in the game literally turns red, and it’s full too. I *think* the Moon does go through its full cycle - it’s just on a one week cycle instead of 28 day cycle, on default settings. But I don’t really notice the moon on non-horde days, and it’s a bit of extra art to pull off, so I’m not certain.

i've always just thought of it as video game time dilation. i have to eat a weeks worth of food and 3 days worth of water every day. a 28 day lunar cycle in 7 days just made sense to me.

It's really interesting to me that multiple people think of horde night as being a Monday. For me, it's more like you spend all week planning for the event. The hard work, if that's what it is, goes into all the planning and preparations you make beforehand - the 'daily grind' to earn resources and secure your future. Then the Blood Moon is the culmination of the previous days: the big party, the big show or the big game if you like. A time to eschew routine, let loose and expend a lot. All things that are more synonymous with the weekend.

That's the natural fit for me, but of course, there are no wrong answers.
