Very foggy when flying gyrocopter (10m visibility)
I'm a veteran player, and in previous versions of the game, I could fly the gyrocopter over any biome and I'd get decent visibility. Visibility is still good in the current version (Alpha 19.4 B7) *IF* you are flying in the green, desert, or snow biomes. When I fly over the burnt and wasteland biomes, I get a really high fog layer (equivalent to 10 metres visibility) and find flying to be very unpleasant with these conditions. I've been watching youtubers playing the game and flying gyrocopter (over wasteland) and the sky is clear.

What are other people's experiences of this? Is this intentional behaviour? Should I change my graphics settings? (Note I'm playing on Linux with Nvidia graphics.)

I know that one of the people on my server crashed when flying into a burnt forest biome while wearing Nightvison goggles because it just went solid green. On my test server for testing building ideas i have noticed a fog in that biome when flying around on creative that made seeing anything very hard (was looking for particular building)

Yeah, the fog can be really bad, even less than 10m visibility. Even worse at night. It is clear at times but not often. I do like the fog, it really adds to the eerie feel of the burnt forest and wasteland, but I think it is too much a lot of the time.

Maybe those youtubers are using a little console magic, "weather fog 0".

My experience is that yes, specific biomes have severe fog when I fly around (in debug mode). I'm playing on Mac but I don't think it matters. I would like to see the atmospheric effects done a different way. As it is, it's too yucky to want to build a base there, even if the danger level was the same, and that's limiting.
