Define 'gyros were messed up', as alot of people think they should fly like a helicopter when in fact they should not. (Just trying to determine if you think the normal behavior is abnormal or not.)

They are actually quite close to the real thing.

Zombies dig. Vultures will take you out if you run in the vehicles. There are always new ways to cheese the AI, but a lot of them have been patched.

Why does everyone deliberately TRY to cheese the AI. Why not play the game as intended?

This vicious cycle of finding ways to cheese the AI begun when Joel had a dream one night where he wrote this amazing AI that could overcome every obstacle and outsmart the player.

and now, since A17, this has been the focus of the game

But it is unnecessary. You can "win" in this game without resorting to cheese tactics. I fight hordes in the open with NO base and can still survive.

No, it started when people made bases that were immune to zombies, then complained that the game was boring and too easy.

People want to be able to "win" and still be challenged. I too remember the polished stainless steel bases of A16 with the 50 block deep moats, that made the players immune. You want to learn to break the AI... JaWoodle on YouTube. He does it regularly. And most of what he "discovers," The Fun Pimps fix in the next update.

Yeah I fully agree, which is why I like that TFP fixes the methods that break the AI and make players effectively invisible to them. Once upon a time you could make underground bases that were immune to hordes.

Because people are lazy and want to find a way to NOT have to fight the horde BUT without having it turned off (because it's cheating, duh). So they are gonna go out of their way, making much more effort than necessary and complain all the time doing it to finally break the game and make it boring and blame it on the devs...

I want to point out that no one in this thread has talked about trying to cheese the AI, and you’re at risk of debating a straw man. The OP was asking if certain cheesiness has been fixed.

Yep agree here. The complaint comment standard -- "I'm on day 300 and am bored to death"
