Open geforce experience, click on 7 days to die and optimize?

Those GFX optimized settings might be for an older version of 7DTD.

I'm just gonna guess this: Try playing with view distance on low or medium. Turn off all reflections, especially screen space reflections. Set tree quality to high. Set terrain quality to medium or high. Textures should be fine at max. Water quality is up to you. Shadows should be fine at high. All the rest is preference. It's going to lag sometimes anyway.

The game’s performance is more often bound by CPU and hard drive than GPU, so your full specs would be helpful for people.

I have a 1060 6GB with a R9 3900x, 32GB RAM, and the game installed on SSD's. I've also run similar settings on an i7-3930k that was overclocked far enough to benchmark the same as an i7-8700k.

Here are my settings.

V-Sync is off, and I've capped the FPS to 60 in the Nvidia control panel. I'll also note that this is at 1080p.

I had a 1050TI and this game ran like garbage on low settings 38FPS and sluggish.

Got a 2070 Super and can run 80-95FPS on full settings no problems.(higher FPS on lower settings obviously)
