Refrigerator Gone?

Did they never add the fridge back? Trying to keep my food fresh.

Best you can do is get a paint brush and Large Storage(s), some paint and use the Beverage Decals for the front and whatever solid or metals for the sides.

Use the Top for drinks and the Bottom for food (or vice versa). Thats what I do.

Edit: Still have to stick a campfire on the stove....sigh. Is it wrong to want my ultra secure bunker to look clean and modern in the Middle of a Zombie Apocalypse? IS IT?

Not at all. I still try to find that special house that will let me put one in the existing fireplace.

But yea, far as I know, the fridge is not even available in the creative menu anymore. Someone should correct me if I am wrong.

Sounds like the best route. And this whole time I was taking my meat to a nearby house that had a fridge in it. Such a waste of time. I do hope they decide to add the fridges back and make food rot again.

Another reason that could have been bad is if the loot respawn deleted all your things you had in that fridge. I never place things in containers that I did not create for very long.

Almost certain loot you store in containers doesn't get deleted. I may be wrong though.

If you made the container, no. But if you did not, such in the case of the fridge, yes it can.

Also, if you get a quest for that POI where you have your things stored, in a fridge for example, and you forget or are not paying attention, and you hit the quest starter ! to activate the quest....boom...the whole POI gets reset and all your things are gone from any containers you had in that quest reset area.

People have done that and posted here about it, so be careful storing things near POIs.

You are welcome. It's ok to put things in a game container for a few minutes, just to get some space in your inventory if you need it quickly, but don't forget any items you have in game-created containers as you might lose them.

made a make shift oven with a plate, the oven decal, white metal decals, and the iron hatch rotated like an oven door
But thanks for the input about the beverage decals might double check to see if I can copy a fridge decal with the paint brush most likely will go with that

Food in this game has never rotted, and needing a fridge was never a thing.

There are fridges in the creative menu, but they're just cosmetic and serve as storage. =)
