None of the things said change the fact that food is required every minute or two.
And if the game tells me I need food every minute, that's all that matters; it's annoying and takes a lot of fun out of the game.
I'm also always holding down shift, which probably contributes to it.
This is another thing that's ♥♥♥♥, because the base move speed is HORRIBLY slow.
Between the food and lack of move speed, I'm seriously tempted to quit playing.
Ever read the Book Crewl Lye by Piers Anthony. There is a Character called Jordon the Barbarian who has a magic self healing Talent. He had the exact same criteria, his healing needed something to heal with. the more healing required would take of his body (emaciate him).
Don't think Wolverines Mutant healing worked that way (or didn't specify when I was into comics (late 80s, early 90s). Never seen the movies so don't know how they handled it there.
I guess the question is, how would you balance the heal ability? Nothings free. NOTHING! Least we know what it costs up front.
And if that's the case... no it wasn't free. it was a huge pain in the ass to survive long enough for me to get that... so the healing itself SHOULD be free!
There is NO basic regeneration in the game and there is no sleeping.
that means the ONLY way to heal minor damage is to take these perks; that makes them manditory.
Also in relation to the hunger and drink system.
If it was only complaining about it and reducing my stats at 25% for tier 1 and 10% for tier 2, I'd find it vastly less annoying.
Side note in support of this: There also needs to be some sort of hard cap on the amount of hunger and thirst loss, so that they don't go down more then say 5 per minute or something along those lines..... no matter what you are doing.
This would help with the whole food and drink every minute thing, too.
But you absolutely do recover health over time without Healing Factor....And even if you didn't, You're acting like it's so expensive, but, the first level is available immediately and purchasable with 1 perk point. You get 4 for free from doing the tutorial quests up to placing the campfire (Dont need to visit the trader to get the points)
Also, Medical Bandages heal damage, you start with two...Painkillers heal damage, you find them everywhere, Food heals small amounts of damage as well.
