Thats why i have made a server for the people (and me :D) that has xml files modified.

Check this out! Up to 6x more zombies in night in certain biomes (you can change, biome, day and night count etc - which i did :) )
Regards!
I only play singleplayer but thanks for the invite.
Could you post your spawn settings?
I assume i can just edit that number. Anyone know a good number that wont create super lag but also increase spawns a good bit?
That said, it could use a tweak if you wanted it to definitely be a more densely populated map. I've done it with the XML file ages ago, just tinkered till I got it figured out. There are also some mods that increase spawn rates (I play Darkness Falls a lot, it has a seriously ramped up zombie spawn rate, and even higher rate at night).

Wish the spawns were more dynamic so it would feel a bit more real instead of load this "chunk" get exactly this many zombies in the exact same group fashion.
The devs also wish the spawns could be more dynamic. However, this is affects performance...hence the compromise of zombies spawning per chunk.
Project Zomboid does a very good job with zombie spawns and migrations. But Project Zomboid isn't a fully destructible voxel-based world either.
Tit for tat and all of that.
I like the randomness of the game and it always has me coming back with each update. I like there to be a ton of zombies in towns and such or in the wilderness but I also like my relaxing days to farm and build up my defences.
How come the crafting menu does not show all possible things? It makes you search for it instead? Wasnt that the whole idea for favorite list? To be able to see everything and narrow down your own list?
You’ve identified precisely the problem the developers face: quantity versus performance
But there are at least two rays of hope. One, in the current A19 they’ve removed the respawn delay for zombies in the wasteland biome specifically. So there are effectively nonstop zombies there. And two, the developers have to set things to be playable on the minimum system requirements. So if you have a good system, you can mod the game to exceed those vanilla values.
