Wood Splitter Mod vs Firemans Axe mod

So wood splitter is 15% damage to wood, can i equip multiple of the same mod on an axe? Also, firemans is 25% block damage, doesnt that make it better?

Fireman's axe mod is rare, so it should definitely be better. But I guess it has a downside - it is only possible to install it into an axe, unlike the wood splitter.

only care about the power my axe does to trees etc, so wanna shove as much bonus on a Tier5 steel axe as possible

Pretty sure you can use both the Fireman's axe mod and a wood splitter head mod in the same axe, but your axe will do less damage to entities (zombies, animals, etc.) because that is the downside to using the Fireman's ax mod.

No, you can't do multiple of the same mod, but these are not the same mods.
