7 Days To Die Audio blocked for copyright infringement : "Live Energy" by "Lukasz Kaminiecki"
As a German streamer bound to German law I am already used to not play ANY music while streaming games on twitch. Now on my last stream of playing 7D2D last night, I got 6 minutes of repairing our def base muted for copyright infringement.

The 6 minute music track being identified by twitch is "Live Energy" by "Lukasz Kaminiecki".
Can anyone confirm this is some soundfile from the game?

Because the only thing I can tell is that another player in Discord told us about the movie he was just watching on TV besides playing 7D2D, and there was not a bit of sound we could hear from his TV.

Could somebody who has experienced this post a link to a clip of it? I mentioned this to Prime and he said that it would be helpful to have a clip and also a timestamp of when the bird chirping happens in the song when he contacts Twitch about it.

I'm going to say it was the other player. In all my hours playing the game, I've only ever heard music on the main menu and initial loading screens.... and certainly not 6 minutes worth of trance style mood music by a polish artist.

Except that's true. This guy makes some kind of "zen music"

Honestly sounds like some old music from the 90s

I found and listened to part of the song in question (it's 20 minutes long). That music does not appear anywhere in the game. However there is an ambient track layered underneath the music of chirping birds. My best guess is both the music and the game use similar or identical bird chirp sound effects, and the timing of the bird chirps in the game lined up well enough to trip Twitch's automatic digital rights thingamajig. I am not a lawyer, but in my non-professional opinion you should appeal because clearly this artist doesn't deserve any credit for anything in the game.

Now don't get me wrong, I love some good chillout music. It would just be painfully misplaced in a game like 7D. I've got Minecraft and Terraria for that :D

Thanks for trying, Creator. I tried to identify the audio in question by downloading the VOD of the stream, but unfortunately the audio in question is also muted in the downloaded file. So I filed a protest for the reason there is no copyright infringement because there was no external audio.

Lets see what twitch will answer - I will keep you guys updated.

No answer yet from twitch on my protest but now another 6 minutes of muting on another stream where "Live Energy" by "Lukasz Kaminiecki" was identified as a song being played while coloring the walls I built around a small bunker ...

Same thing just happened to me last night. "Live Energy" by "Lukasz Kaminiecki" while painting during the day in the green biome while birds sang. I found this thread while searching for the music.

I wonder. If a lot of other twitch streamers are experiencing similar issues a pattern could emerge.
In that case the authorities would be interested.

Just glad (somehow) that I am not alone here. I wonder what the Funpimps have to say about this?

I just had the same thing happen to me saying I was playing that same song. I appealed to Twitch saying it was not in my video. Hope to hear from them on it. Did you ever get a resolution Tim Taylor?

The whole concept of copyrighting tunes is silly IMO... art should not be copyrighted: you either create art to share with the world or you don't. If you're an artist you should be paid for your work, not for whatever they do with it.

But I know I'm in a minority here, just throwing there some food for thought.

well unfortunately that's now the world we live in however i do agree with you..

people are selfish and demand payment for any sort of intellectual property.

Metallica needs a new jet every year that's why the likes of Limewire and Napster got shut down lol

Something something greedy music companies and laws specifically made to protect them instead of the normal guy.
