i miss the old alphas when it was hard and zombies were a constant threat
now they dont always lways recognise you and will keep walking right past you even as you shoot their friends and the 7 day horde is nerfed to hell... as well as many other annoying things
Less wood from trees is countered by a lowered wood cost for everything (suppose you didn't bother to note that). Net effect only slight nerf to wood.
Grilled meat gives a better wellness bonus than 2 charred (1.35 versus 1.3 [2 * 0.65]). Grilled meat also drains less hydration than 2 charred (-3 versus -10 [2 * -5]). Net effect is more varied use for meat and more reason to make different items.
I am glad the days of 5k tool grind are over but currently only RP people should take tool smithing because right now the best way for tools is to kill 2-3 zombie hordes, get the treasure and simply buy all the tools you ever wanted. For shovels/axes the difference between white/green/blue or purple is neglectable and a single blue pick will last an awful long time. Most treasure piles seem to be 5-20k, so one or two (ingame) days of zombie farming and you are set with tools/weapons and armor all blue or purple. Not to mention that you could buy even crafting materials etc and just bypass half the crafting.
Its better but not a good solution imho.
i manage to build a nice base in hours & hours and get killed by packs of animals spawning in front of me ? are you kidding ? WHO LIKES THIS CRAP?? whats the point for stupid hound or wolfepacks? if u are anywhere on a loottour nobody can escape or KILL 5-8 (or whatever that was) Dogs or Wolves or Direwolfs (come on what the hell...)
This game is just one: a massive waste of time if u want to play like me. ONE LIFE! no respawn.
this should be a survivalgame right? and this is not managable with those op Packs. now its time AGAIN for a damn break because of this unfair bulls. Theres NO damn balance..
i thing this is just a game for people who wants to use just the cheating console and build op HQs without problems and with endless Mats. Theres no play for guys wo wants rly to play normal.
Yes. You are the only one.
The rest of the world thinks A16 is far superior.
(or just me...i often get the two mixed up)
I never enjoyed standing in my base making 10,000 stone axes to level up a skill...so i never did it.
Too easy to abuse and then have players complain that the game was "2 EZ".
Wood burns ludicrously longer in forges than it did in A15.
A high grade steel axe and high mining tool skill means a tree goes down in a few swings.
Plus you've always been able to plant and harvest your own trees.
Yeah that does seem a little weird but you still have other wellness foods that don't require raw meat.
Nope. It's not.
Adapt and overcome.
Plus Electricity
Even in the forest biome where my current base is the climate fluctuates enough to need a jacket at least twice a day. And that's not even including getting wet from rain sometimes.
Which forest?
The game has a global temperature, and each biome has a temperature range to add or subtract from the global. For example, the snow biome subtracts 70 to 80 degrees from the global temperature. There is also wind, wetness, and sun angle, but that isn't biome specific.
The Pine forest subtracts 10 to 50 degrees, making it potentially the second coldest biome in the game. By contrast, the regular forest modifier is -35 to +5. Unless it's raining, you should never need a jacket in a regular forest. During the day you usually need cooling. A pine forest will get down to jacket temperatures far more often. Snow, Pine Forest, and Wasteland are probably the only biomes you need a jacket in, most of the time (wasteland is also the warmest non radiated biome. Bring a poncho and a jacket).
This is something really, really new to me.
I sneak to shot most of my arrows and it happened almost half the time yesterday. I hit the zed, he turns around... wander around in another direction, hit the zed again, he still goes wide and I'm still undetected. Third shot he spots me.
It was sooooooooooo dumb. No, sorry. Making 20,000 of the same thing doesn't mean the thing you keep making will be better.
No matter how many times I try to paint the Mona Lisa, I can't. And I'm not improving at all between canvas. The leveling system made me turn around a month or so ago. I just couldn't. It was dumb.
Edit: I used to call 7dtd the "dump crafting simulator". You craft stuff then you dump it.
