No joke I build them in real life, it's very easy to build a panel and only requires a bit of sanding and electrical work. I think solar cells should be lootable (Obviously the the cell is harder to manufacture) and there should be a book for building cells imo
I know what you mean I also have seen posts saying that cells do not charge battery banks :( This is sad
Any tips or recommendations?
From what I understood from MM's videos regarding solar power is that they are used in conjunction with the battery pack...so the solar panels provide energy during the day and charge up the battery pack that provides power during the night.
I haven't played A16 yet so I cannot confirm this myself.
You need a wire tool which is craftable, which the recipe is learned from the first level of Elictricity Basics which costs 3 skill points.
From what i've discovered so far (unless I missed something) you can't even unlock the recipie for the battery bank. I happened to find one in a working stiffs store but like I have really high science skill and unlocked the other generators and traps, but the skill for unlocking the battery bank says 0 points required and no lvl requirement, and you can't purchase it so I don't thinik they are craftable, they also dont show up in the work table. At least not for me and im like level 58
My skill page shows the Battery Bank with N/A skill points. I think this means it is craftable but you need to find a schematic or book for it.
Maybe it requires a quest.
Solar panels will not allow me to connect the battery bank direct. I thought the same. Not sure if there is some nifty trick I am missng there or if it is not working as inteneded though.
